Impact of Food and Wine Fest on BC and BW

You originally referred to the CAST as disgruntled. Not yourself. I'm not thinking ill of you, just confused by your negative statement towards the cast members for doing their jobs.

More and more the blue member card is being required in addition to the room key to use various DVC priveleges. As long as you are prepared to hear the word "no," have at it.

(I can't believe I'm doing this). Actually, ducklite, I never said I was disgruntled. I used it in reference to the (unnammed and faceless) cast member . If you look at the definition you posted, it says one of the meanings is 'to make discontented'. I would be discontented...not disgruntled. So the disgruntled cast member would therefore be MAKING ME discontented. But again, the comment was all in good fun..:rolleyes1

I'm absolutely certain I will have a lovely time at WDW, as always. Not even slightly worried. And I have no intention of taking issue w/ anything a cast member tells me or arguing with them. I'm always prepared to hear 'no' but very seldom does it happen...princess:

Some clarifiction, DVC members can not pool hop to SAB or the AKL pool. Also this perk is only for members, not for those renting from a member.

Also members need to contact the resort prior to hopping to ask permission. If the resort if very crowded a member may be asked not to visit, also members can be asked to leave the pool if it becomes crowded while they are there.

Your SIL is misinformed and as stated many time the Blue member card is necessary for the "member" perk. This is one of the main reasons I am against members renting. They don't seem to feel the need to follow policy.

We stayed at the YC 10/11 to 10/14 and it was super quiet, just about empty. The BC on the other hand was slammed, people everywhere. We are staying at the YC for a week next Oct...it is so convenient to walk over to Epcot and enjoy the F&W

Wow. That's helpful info. My friends are booking for 10-1 to 10-6 at BWV and were worried. If the YC isnt that crowded, maybe the majority of the crowd likes to stay at BC.

Actually, her DVC booklet stated that members could pool-hop and I saw it myself so I know she's not misinformed. It must be, as you said, that the perk is for members only and I wasnt clear on that. But now I am so yay!

The statement that those who rent points don't feel the need to follow policy is therefore not necessarily true. Sometimes we just aren't AWARE of the policies. I surely wasnt. Especially since, like I've already stated, I used the WL pool w/ absolutely no problem even AFTER showing my POR room card to a cast member who was monitoring pool usage. Therefore, these policies must not be as 'set in stone' as you feel.:cutie:
