Immigration process now speedier?

Flew into Sarasota/Bradenton via Atlanta on Tuesday on Delta.
Thought the immigration process was much quicker without the green cards. There were only a few questions such as how long are you coming for and about the address we were staying at. Usual handprints and photo then through.
Big improvement over the surly officer desperate to find a mistake on the cards!
