It may seem like we came back to the room a lot in the afternoons .. and we did! LOL Up and out [semi] early in the a.m., up relatively late at night, it was nice to have a little break in the day, grab a snack, chill for a bit, shower, change... whatever!
We once again caught a cab to the AKL. Yeah, we could've taken the bus .. but who wants to do that when you're dressed nicely for dinner ya know? I will say, we don't usually rent a car in WDW, except for the Christmas trip for some reason, but I kind of wish we had this time. Though .. with all the luggage we had combined, I think we would've had to rent a bus!!! LOL ;o)
AKL is another place we were excited for Julie to see. She'd gotten something of a glimpse of it the other morning when we did Boma for breakfast, so seeing it at night was a different experience too! We had a few minutes to spare, so we dragged Dave into the Marketplace to shop a little! LOL I think he's so hesitant because on our own past stays at AKL, he had a tough time getting me out of there! <g> I could spend a LONG time in that store! I think we all ended up buying something, had it shipped back to the hotel, and then made a beeline
for Jiko!!
We had to wait just a short while to be seated, so we took a walk outside, still showing off the place like we owned it to Julie! LOL It's fun .. a LOT of fun, when you have someone who hasn't seen all the things in WDW and the resorts - besides it just being a new experience for them, it becomes a new experience for you too!
Dinner was terrific, as it always is!, at Jiko. There may have been some mention about how many "points" for WW there are in the Pistachio Creme Brulee, and in Cabernet too! LOL but I'm not sure, since I don't do WW (I *do* do Cabernet!<g>) But, who cares anyway - it's the Pistachio Creme Brulee! LOL
I think some of the partying and running around was getting to us all though, a little bit, because we were all tired by the end of dinner! LOL We were going to go upstairs and see Juanita & Beau if they were there, but that idea kinda fizzled as our energy fizzled! LOL So, we packed it in and .. you guessed it! took a cab back to the Swan, and hit the sheets.
