Originally, we had reservations for the Crystal Palace this morning for breakfast. But last night, we'd decided that we just didn't feel like getting up REAL early again, so I had the concierge cancel them for me, and we just had some fruit and stuff from the concierge area, then headed off to the park.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it! LOL ;)
kids under 16 aren't permitted on the KTTK tour, so Melissa took Evan and they did their own thing while we were on the tour. I wouldn't have let Ev go off for that long all alone - while yes, he does know the park as well as I do, still ... *I* think 5 hours+ is too long to leave a 12 yo completely by himself.

The tour was amazing!!! I loved it!! You get SO much information, trivia, little known facts and whatnot! There was really FAR, FAR too much for me to write it all out - I wish I would've either had a little notepad to make notes with, or better yet, a mini tape recorder with me! LOL Also, I don't want to spoil it for anyone else who hasn't done it yet, so I won't go into all the details of what happens. Besides, I'm sure that each tour is slightly different when guided by different CM's. We had as our primary guide, Mark -- he was nice, very efficient, though his delivery was a bit "dry" at times. On the other hand, Brick (yes that is his real name! LOL) who was sort of our secondary guide, and was present at the lunch, was TERRIFIC!! Very animated, lively and lots of fun! He primarily does VIP Tours, and I have to tell ya .. if you ever think of doing one, you REALLY should request him!

Our tour actually went from 9;30 'til just before 3 pm, and we meet back up with the kids and all watched the parade together. This is really a darling parade, though imho, it's a bit too short. And for me, I don't think anything will replace my all time favorite daytime parade .. Remember the Magic!

Once again, this was another extremely hot and humid day, and ALL of us, adults and kids alike, were really feeling wiped out by the heat. Even the kids had had their fill of the MK for that day! LOL so after a quick tour on Space, COP and the people mover, we exited through the stores and caught the launch back to the Grand, for some 'down time'. We had JUST stepped back into the Main Building when the sky opened up for the daily t-storm. So the timing was perfect for some "chill time" and a nice soak in the big tub! LOL

Actually, the dinner plans for tonight ended up changing too. Originally we were going to do the Flying Fish, another fav of mine. But neither of the kids wanted to go there .. they both kept hinting that they didn't want any seafood tonight! LOL so I asked THEM for a suggestion, and they agreed they wanted Whispering Canyon at the WL. I could've thought of lots of other choices! LOL Like Citricos for one! <G> but .. gotta be fair, so I cancelled FF and was able to get a last minute ressie at WCC.

Once we were all ready again, refreshed from our rest, we took the monorail from the Grand to the MK, and then caught the boat on to WL. We'd no sooner checked in and were given a beeper, and started to walk across the lobby to the gift shop when the beeper went off and it was time to be seated! LOL

After dinner, we made it into the store, and looked around a bit. I'm once again probably going to do a Christmas time trip to WDW, and I wanted to see if I could get in to see a jr suite and/or suite here at WL, so I checked at the front desk. Unfortunately, they were all occupied so that wasn't possible.

It was still raining, and we were kind of "parked out" for the day, so we decided to catch the boat back to the MK and get on the monorail, and stop at the Contemporary and Poly to do some shopping in the stores there. We ended up back in the room just before 10, in time to once again watch the fireworks from our balcony. Can ya tell I REALLY love balconies! LOL ;)

Day 6 coming shortly!

Keys to the Kingdom sounds like a great tour, I'll have to try it sometime! I was planning on doing it this past trip, but like lots of other things, we never got around to it! :)

Sounds like a nice day! I did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour last year, and I agree, it is great! UnDiscovered FutureWorld is another great tour, if you're interested. :D
