So, is anyone else on this site planning on becoming an Imagineer? I have seen so many shows about them on the Travel Channel, and I have been to Disney World quite a few times. I think this would be the perfect job for me. Is there anyone else who feels the same?

One of my 8th grade friends Meg wants to be one!! We're freshman in HS, and I hope since we go to 2 diff. HS's now nobody has tried to change her choice of career!! She always follows her Disney dreams!!

I won't be an Imagineer (I'd actually prefer to be an attractions CM) but good luck to those who want to be!

Yeah, I would like too. I want a Lilo and Stitch roller coaster. :stitch:

I want to do Show Writing or the department that designs the interiors of shops, restaurants, and attraction queues (the actual name escapes me right now lol). :teeth: That would be really fun. :goodvibes

I had an idea for a Monsters Inc. roller coaster. It's supposed to be when at the end of the movie and they're in that door factory thing. So, the ride vehicles are doors, and they hang from the top, and you ride around or whatever (you're supposed to be Mike and Sulley). It would be pretty fun, lol.

I have wanted to be an Imagineer since 2001, and still that is my dream. I want to be a graphic designer for disney imagineering.

I've wanted to be an Imagineer since, uhh first disney trip. I just didn't know what it was called at the time ( I was only like, 6) But, yeah, I want to be one, and I actually get to do a project about imagineering for my enrichment project,so I am excited.

Advice for anyone who needs convinced on how creative you have to be for this job:
1: Go to disney
2: Read Imagineering: A behind the scenes look at making the magic
3: Read the Imagineering way! My fave book ever!

Yeah. So, those are the three reasons. BTW, you can eat a meal with an imagineer at the brown derby. Mine went well, I got Jim Dotson, a sound design technician.

Oooh I love those books!! And the lunch with the Imagineer is so fun... I've done it twice. From my experience, both the Imagineers I had started working at the bottom of the Disney chain... one was a tour guide, the other was a sales clerk, then they gradually got promoted until they became Imagineers.

I would absolultey love to be an Imagineer. I read books about Imagineering all the time.
