I can imagine this .... since I will be celebrating my 50th with my DD this summer at DL! Yay!

We are still deciding where to go, we know that we want to be onsite, been to Blue Bayou and Carthay already. And we are not into the big fancy dinners, just want good food and a good atmosphere.

Napa Rose at the Grand Californian. Make a reservation for the Chef's Counter. TRUST ME ... you'll have an amazing time. But it IS pricey.

For special dinners onsite we like Carthay, Napa Rose, and SH 55, in that order.

We also like the lounge at Napa Rose if we are not doing a huge dinner, still really good food.

Agreed ... if you don't want to do the "big fancy dinner" at Napa Rose, you'll get a lot of the atmosphere just hanging out in the lounge and having some cocktails and apps.

But man, the Chef's Counter was such a fantastic experience. Not quite on the level of Victoria & Albert's, but probably a close second for me.

Another vote for the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose, we have done it twice and if our CAD$ ever improves we are certainly going to do it again!

I celebrated my 50th birthday in Disneyland. The one thing I wanted was a birthday cake. I settled on Carnation Café because they were only available at select restaurants. The cake was amazing, better than any baked item I have eaten in DL.... and the staff sang Happy birthday to me.....IN DISNEYLAND!!!. Hands down.... best birthday ever!

I would be at Trader Sam's for drinks and appies and then to Steakhouse 55 for dinner.

We will be heading to WDW in 2018 for my 50th and DD's 18th so will have to figure out where we will go there to celebrate.
