Images to show size of new lands at Hollywood Studios

Hi all,

Firstly I do not know anything other than the public facts and rumours!

Now we do understand that Walt, One man's dream may be at risk....although I really hope it can stay and it seems the Muppets 4D could also be at risk.

News today confirmed streets of America to go and we know that the "lease" is up on Lights, Motors, Action!.

So with that, I wondered what 14 acres for Star Wars Land and 11 Acres for Toy Story Land would look like.

I incorporated the existing rides for each land and went from there. There is obviously plenty of room for movement, but from my vision Muppets 4D would be stuck out on it's own and Pizza planet needs to move to fit with Toy Story land!

I don't want to lose any attractions and maybe all can be saved.

Other thought was that destroying too many of the attractions would totally loose the variety of the studios.

So that is my thoughts and mainly in the interest of size, I have given my thoughts and it indicates the space required......

Keep in mind there is an unannounced Phase 3 and even a blue sky Phase 4.

Muppets is staying for now. OMD is very likely to be leaving. There have been plenty of mock ups created already.

I think he may have been referring to the contracts for the performers. There was talk that they were now re-signed on an annual basis.

Thanks rteetz! Maybe I picked the wrong word, but our trip there last week, a cast member indicated it's license was not renewed (Guessing this is with the Paris Disney Park) Also heard from a few other places that it is looking questionable!!

Finally got my pictures working after uploading to photobucket!!

As said I was more interested in what 11 acres and 14 acres looks like, more than anything! Then thought I would share...

Toy story will be going backstage behind TSMM. that's basically certain as you can see the TSMM building in the artwork.

As poster above said the attraction it self doesn't have a contract but the drivers do. LMA do come from Paris but Disney also owns parks now so their isn't a contract for the attraction itself. LMA is supposed to close tho.

Star Wars will be encompassing the echo lake are and not the streets of America/ muppets area. Star Wars is supposed to push int the parking lot a little bit. Toy story will be going behind TSMM and the entrance to TSMM will be moved. The current Pixar place street that you enter TSMM from would then likely become backstage area.

It's not going to go back to lights motor action, it'll be more forward taking out the lake and indie if the previous rumors which have come true so far hold up.

Also toys is going the other way to where animation is based on what is moving and closing already.

Toy story will not take out animation but will go up until the mermaid building is. Mermaid show is supposed to leave for a new show. Animation is becoming launch bay. LMA is the site of phase 3.

I was very surprised with how much 14 acres took up in the park. So we know it will be a big land!

What are the rumoured Phase 3 and 4 going to be?

I also wondered this!

Wife and I have been visiting WDW for 20 years from UK and love the parks, so change is good...but we don't want to lose everything from Hollywood studios. it seems there have been far too many closures recently. We did wonder why close things a year or two before work will even start on the replacement?

A version of Cars land is going in where LMA. Some type of monsters inc. land will also be going in (with the Monster Hangar coaster).

Well there have been permits for launch bay at animation already and the exterior is currently being repainted.

Phase 4 is blue sky rumors right now. If all goes well phase 4 would get approved but as of right now it's not.

3 would be where LMA currently sits. 4 is not currently on the table or green lit but could be if all goes well.
