Im worred about a friend (long)

she moved from South Dakota to Las Vegas, to be closer to her mom and try and get a relationship started, her mom wasnt a very good mother to her.

Her mom treats her like dirt.

She moved down there in October. and then this spring she came to get her grandmother.

Her grandmother wants to come back to SD, she is depressed and lonely and now she has alzheimer.

Now back to my friend, She is a single mom and is on public assestence, because of her head injury when she was younger she got into an accident and now she gets Social Securtiy.

she had her baby. she took the father to court. and during the trail she found out the guys lawyer and the Judge were friends. His lawyer called to speak to the judge in chambers (my fiends lawyer didnt go into chambers) The judge came back and said there wasnt enough percentage for him to be the father.. I saw the dna results it was 99.98% he is the father... that was 9 years ago.


Now she is living in Henderson Nevada.

Now my friend is gambling and taking alot off tynol 3...

and now she met this homeless lady with kid to stay with her and the first night her kid got really sick and she didnt want to take him the the er. and in the er my friend found out that earlier that night she did crank... Well the kid had walking phemiona. she gave her a second chance.

Then a few days later my friend got into an acciented she ran a stop sign and her car got totalled. She got a concussion and her daughter broke her finger. She has to go to court for that.

Then after that She told the girl that was staying there to get all of her bills together and how much money she makes and when she gets back from the doctor she will help her get an apartment, she got home and she was in the pool.

When the girl came back to my friends place she was stoned and they got into a huge fight the cops were called, and then she has another court date.

Well now I cant get a hold of her the phone has been disconnected.


Sorry this is so long. But I dont know what to d??

She wants to move back,. but I dont know if I should remain friends with her, I feel sorry for her daugther. any help would help....I miss her. and now that i cant get a hold of her im worred.. I did write her a letter....

It doesn't sound to me like there's a lot you can do in this situation. It's a a big, convoluted mess but it sounds like it is all caused by choices she's been making. And I know one thing for sure, you can't change anyone, people change their lives when they are good and ready and not one minute before. If I were you I'd be a friend from a distance but I'd wait to see some changes in her life before I tried to do anything concrete to help her.
