I'm wondering why there is no flatbreads at California Grill now?

We ate at California Grill in late March and were disappointed that there were no faltbreads on the menu. I shoud of asked our server but just plain forgot. I sure hope they add them back in the future. They have always had really great and different flatbreads.

we ate there last month and i asked about them... our waitress told us that the new chef was not sure if he wanted them to be on the menu. Not sure if that is accuracte because i have read other people say it is just that the ovens are being repaired... not sure. Going back in June so I will see then. I do hope they keep the mushroom goat cheese risotto on the menu as well as the ostrich. Both of those were divine.

Both stories - the oven needs either repair or replacement, and the chef no longer wants to produce flatbreads - have been going around. Without info from the chef himself, there's probably no way to determine which it is right now.

Let's hope they put them back on the menu. They are so good. I agree with you tinkandpan about the ostrich. I had it for the first time last month and it was fantastic. I can't wait to have it again.
