I'm to the "sick to my stomach" stage of planning...anyone else?

I spent several hours yesterday shopping. Most of my shorts are from our last Disneyland trip...meaning they have 4 full summers of wear on them. All I wanted was denim shorts...a pair in khaki, a pair in black, and a pair in blue. What I ended up with was one pair of stretch blue denim from WalMart.
I am Pooh-sized. Still, at home, I could always find shorts. Catherine's had one style in two colors. A total of less than a dozen total! Fashion Bug had cotton sheeting and polyester grandma shorts. Yuck! Target was a no-go as everything they had is low rise. Who wants shorts that divide a roll of fat in half???? CJ Banks didn't have any. All the stores have this year are Capris. Well, when you're 5'2" and less than half that is leg, Capris end up hitting right around your shin bone, lol!
So, I have several lovely new shirts to wear and an assortment of old shorts. Ugh.

Ugh I can totally relate to what you're saying. I gained 25 pounds :scared1: in the last 2 years from stress and just plain not eating right. :scared: I still haven't had a chance to go buy any new shorts because I'm too busy working, the tightwad in me doesn't want to spend the money on new shorts (because I'm sure I'll eventually fit back in the old ones and I'm afraid if I buy new ones I'll never fit the old ones), and I'm worried because I'm sure it be hotter than hades in the parks in summer. :rolleyes1 I've been fighting a losing battle trying to get my rear end to fit back in my old shorts so I wouldn't have to buy any. It's looking like a no go on fitting in my old shorts by mid June. I mean I could fit in them, but I would hate for them to split open. :scared1: Would be nice if I could wear them and breathe at the same time!:rolleyes1

blood glucose machine.... and I just got 2 free ones in the mail ( don'y uoi love free stuff from magazines :lmao: ) ...

teatime, would love to know where you found the ads for the free meters (would love to get some for my DS)

I wish I was leaving on a morning flight for our upcoming trip.
We are taking the last flight out (I know not usually the best idea...) I am working for half a day and then come home finish things up quickly and then head to the airport hoping to get their and avoid the heaviest part of rush hour traffic (again... not the best idea)

Reason for the crazy schedule is we leave on the second day of summer quarter at our college. I am usually swamped the first week of each quarter with students coming in my office and summer is typically very busy. I really shouldn't even be going that week My boss however is awesome! She knows how important DL is to me and insisted that I do go for my birthday. Since I don't want to waste time flyng on my birthday, I am leaving the night before.

I usually get a bit stressed before going - typically related to packing. I end up with half my closet on my bed and then start putting things back in the closet until a small pile is ready for the suitcase. Yet I still always over pack. "But what if....."

I will clean my house on the weekend before and hope by the Tuesday when we leave that not too much has happened to mess up my work.

Not sure I would call it a "sick to my stomach" feeling, but for sure I do get stressed (and do not dare eat more or those clothes going in the suitcase might not fit....:rotfl:)

I over pack to  Im trying to only bring one out fit a day for me and the kids, bathing suits etc. but Im also sending thru a suitcase full of foods. I can not get to target and will need snacks. OYE vons says free delivery with 150.00 order? um I do not think I can order that much

Ay Carumba! $150.00 min. purchase will include free delivery. Well if it is for a family of 8 that might work. Or unless of course one will be staying for a long enough period of time to where that amount would make sense. Otherwise, party, and do not forget the cheese, please! :)

Beth,

I know what you mean... but hey we leave in 2 days! if only i could skip sunday and wake up monday!
