They are saying that up here is the northeast we are going to get close to a foot or more of snow, which will of course ruin some of Christmas, as family members are already cancelling and don't want to drive the hour up which I totally understand, so looks like it will be just DH, myself and my 2 DD's ages 4 & 7 along with my parents. On the bright side the kids will get two Christmas days one on Wednesday and one sometime in January.

My brother is suppose to be traveling down here to Connecticut from Mass tomorrow afternoon. That leg looks okay, but he planned on going back Christmas as he has more family to see. I love snow on Christmas...........just glad I don't have to travel.

My company has decided to arrive Tues pm & leave Thurs am -- rather than coming & going just on Wed.

Oh, too bad.

Seems like the NE is getting more than their share of snow this year!

Merry xmas!

Herc.

Think of this -- my Mom lives in S. IL, where they don't even have snow removal equipment -- and they are supposed to be getting hit tomorrow all day with the same storm. At least up here they do plow, salt & sand!

Hope y'all have a Merry & Safe Christmas!

In my part of North Florida we have an 80% chance of Thunderstorms tomorrow:confused: ! Must be the same system causing the snow up north! I don't remember having rain on Christmas Eve in a LONG time!

I think the TV weatherpeople are just plain full of themselves. I noticed that there is no longer a possibility of snow, rain, etc. it is now called a threat! And the hemming & hawing, like it could be a major storm but it could also swerve out to sea, etc. And my particular favorite, is the definition of MAJOR snowfall. 3 to 6 inches? Measure that on a ruler, how major is it? Hardly enough to plow or shovel, IMHO.

Earlier they had us in 3-5" of mix..... now we are in 8-12" of SNOW!

And it's still a day & 1/2 away. :(

Weathermen were not kidding here! Rain, thunder a Tornado watch and NOW a warning not far north of here:eek: !

We have a chance of rain or snow -- it's supposed to be 35 degrees tomorrow, but if the temperature drops a degree, snow it is.

New York City hasn't had a white Christmas since 1969!

Sounds like you are all in for some serious weather! We are just expecting snow flurries off and on for the next day or so. I am hoping we get enough to make things "Christmasy and Bright!" Not enough in the forecast though to change folks plans. We had our family get together over the weekend... so it is just us for Christmas.

I will be calling all five of my brothers and sisters and my parents over the next two days though... lots of LONG catch up conversations. :)

Our forcast in northern TEXAS was for 8-12 inches of the white stuff. We've got about 10 inches. That was all yesterday and a little bit the night before. And of course snow removal is a funny word to them. Coming from North Dakota I'm used to the snow plows and sand trucks. Not down here.

Well, I'm definitely concerned. :( We are supposed to leave our home in Northern VA tomorrow morning at 6am for our 10 hour drive to Michigan. We'll be going through parts of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio - which are all expecting nasty weather. :(
