I'm sure this has been asked but...do the Disney reward $$ expire?

I need to transfer my balance from my Disney Visa to another as my 6 month 0% interest is about to expire next month. I'd like to get my Disney reward $$ before I transfer my balance! Anyone know if they expire? I'm not sure when I'd be able to use them...perhaps in the summer.

Unless you are cancelling the card I don't see a reason why you should have to transfer now. But yes once transfered they expire at the end of the year following the year you transfered (or this is what I have heard). It is best to not tranfers until you know you are going to use them. Even if it is just to purchase Disney Dollars.

If you close your account, your reward dollars are cancelled also. (Even if you have transferred them to the rewards card.)As long as your account is open and in good standing, reward dollars transferred to the card expire 12/31 of the year following transfer. (transfer in June 2005, expire on 12/31/06)

You can check your rewards balance online. Transfering your credit balance to another card shouldn't effect your rewards $$$ at all unless you are cancelling the card. It is likely that the rewards won't expire for a few years (if you just got the card in the past year or so.) I got my Visa card early-mid last year and my rewards $$$ don't expire until 2009. Once you transfer them to a rewards card they expire within 1 year.
