Okay so I'm super bummed. My friend's friend told us she would let us use three of her maingate passes for us to go on Spring break. I was really shocked she was willing to give us three day and asked if she meant three days (aka lets 3 people in for 3 days) or one day for three people. She said three days. We were really excited and booked the hotel for Spring Break.

Today the friend just emailed us and told us that she can't give us three maingate passes anymore, just one. Now we don't know what to do since our hotel is already booked and buying tickets is just way out of our price range.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what there is to do in Orlando for cheap? Our budget only has about $70 for fun activities to do in two days.

Thanks for the help and letting me vent.

Well quick sign up to do an Give a Day - Get A Day activity for Disney tickets. Not sure when your Spring Break is but you might have time to do something that will earn you each a free ticket -- so that will give you another day each. Oh just saw your ticket and it appears you don't have time to do the GAD activity - sorry.

As far as free or cheap things to do - resort hop.

Go to AKL and check out the animals
Do the monorail route of hotels and look/see
Swim/Sun tan at your hotel
Plan to go to the Polynesian for the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes in the evening.
Go to the Boardwalk (evening entertainment)
Go DTD.
Ride the boat from DTD to one of the resorts and have lunch at the food court.

I just went with free things on property. I am sure more ideas will come along.

Thanks for the idea. We already have the Give a Day - Get A Day ticket. We were going to Disney for four days - One day with the free ticket and three days with the maingate pass. Now we are just doing two days at Disney - one free day and one maingate.

I didn't think about resort hopping. That's a good idea and can take most of a day without costing much.

A personal fav - attend the Campfire at Fort Wilderness (it's free).

Watch movies on the beach, several resorts offer this.

When is your Spring Break?

You might find this useful: http://www.mousesavers.com/freestuff.html
It's a page of free and cheap stuff to do at Disney World.

And I would DEFINITELY recommend doing the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day thing. That adds a whole extra day in the Disney parks for FREE, you can't beat that! Here's the link: Give a Day, Get a Disney Day

You could also try one of the water parks Orlando has to offer. Disney has two, which run about $45 a day. Wet 'n Wild is also about $45, but they have an option for half-price after noon.

For about $75 you can get a 2-day pass to Seaworld, if you'd like to try a park other than Disney.

Let's see, what else? Definitely explore all the free things Disney has to offer: the Boardwalk, Downtown Disney, all the resorts, etc.

Good luck!!

I thought Sea World tickets were about $70 for one day. I'll look into Sea World.

Honestly, you can get through Sea World (minus the shows) in half a day. I wouldn't recommend buy the 2 day ticket.

If anything go to Aquatica instead, maybe even Universal. They have a 2 day pass as well.

I highly recommend Universal if you're considering another park. It was my favorite thing to do while I was down there for my CP. But I also did a lot of resort hopping and spent a lot of time in Downtown Disney, I have a problem with overshopping, so the discount just fed the addiction. I made my money and gave it right back to Disney... but I digress. There's a movie theatre at DD and there's also the Cirque du Soleil there, so that's something to do if you can.

Go to Funspot!!!
Ride go carts all day/night : )
You can get a wristband that allows you to all the rides and tracks there.
It's pretty fun and we go every trip from evening until they close.

The wristband is only 30 dollars I think depending on what you want to do.

Or just hang out on International Drive.

Last time, me and my bf found a spot were they were doing outdoor Karaoke. Plus, they have all the quirky little museums there too.

It's $70 for a one day pass that includes a 2nd day free, for some reason.

That's how the Sea World/Busch Gardens parks market. 2 days for the price of 1. You can probably get a one day (at least you could where I work for the company) but it is full price and mostly used if someone has a coupon. Not sure if I've ever seen a Sea World coupon though!

I thought the $70 ticket were for 2 day, 1 park. I thought the 2 day 2 park tickets were over $100. If not, that can work. I'll look into it. Thanks for everyone ideas.

Ah, okay. A 2 day/2 park meaning including Aquatica?

I realized I totally contradicted myself. I forgot the 2 day ticket was essentially a buy one, get one free. It's just hard to find things to fill up 2 days there!

It stinks, and I wish they had just a one day ticket that could be discounted (unless they do, I don't think they have coupons.) Do you have AAA? They sell discounted tickets there and it might be a little cheaper than buying them at the gate.

I'm not apart of AAA but I think one of my friends is who's going with me. We are meeting tomorrow to go re-create our budget and go over ideas to do while in Orlando for our extra two days. Thanks for everyone's idea. I will let my friends know about these great ideas tomorrow.

Never been to Florida but the first thing that came to my mind was the beach! Spend a day relaxing on the beach. It's free!

The beach is an hour and half away, and well I don't know of their transportation abilities.

Most the time you can get a 1 day adult ticket for the price of a child's, and southwest offers 10$ off tickets. So you can generally get them for about 68$.

After you enter the park, on your left, you can get your second day free. You can use it at Sea World or Aquatica. (but aquatica only tickets are in the 40$ range). You can definatly spend two days at Sea World. Of course I love watching the animals rather than just the shows. So I spend time watching the penguins, the beluga whales, petting the sting rays, and trying to pet the dolphins (which is a huge patience game). I also go on manta over and over again if there's no line.

And at Aquatica, I can spend hours in the Roa River. It's more about relaxing in the water than how many times I can get on the slides.

Unlike the Disney parks, you just have to remember to slow down and take it all in at Sea World.

Thanks for everyone’s responds. My friends and I are still trying to decide what is the best option but your ideas have helped us a lot!!
