I wish! I highly doubt they'd cast me because my teeth aren't perfect. As an actress in New York, some people say it gives me an edge. As a Disney character, not so much. But I guess you never know!

I know the trauma that comes along with not knowing if/when you can get to New Fantasyland. But seriously, all the drama and uncertainty is worth it when you are actually allowed to pass through the ropes. I prefer to think that they knew who I was and let me know exactly when I could enter. The CM who told me it would be open for the Christmas party spoke all conspiratorially and hush-hush because she knew we couldn't allow the riff-raff to enter!

LOL Apparently I was the riff raff because no one told me they would be open during MNSSHP! So later on in the trip when that happened I LOST IT! But that's another story for another day.

Shewwwww!! Finally all caught up on our PTR & 2 prior TR 's .....OMG I don't think I've ever laughed so hard!!!


I'm actually planning a trip back to the world for Halloween this year, however I was under the impression this was a pretty light crowd time of the year, but after seeing our photos, maybe not?? It just looks so awesome at Halloween.... I NEED to do this!!

On your last TR you made a comment about parents making their kids ride the scary rides and scaring them for life....YUP! That's me . They have to ride everything once if they don't like it they don't have to do it again, but how will you ever know if you are going to like something if you don't at least try it?? So my son (age 6) rode all the rides this year, according to him RnR was his favorite, followed by Kali River (he got soaked too) and will never again ride ToT (until he is 18 is what he said). The ride picture is absolutely hilarious!

Ooh, I love Pop too, we stay there every time as well for the exact same reasons, but this last time we stayed at AoA!!!!!! OMG.....it is the most fabulous place ever!!!

Between, you, Jess & Kristen I really want to write a TR about our NY's trip but since I obviously wasn't planning to do this while I was there not sure that I could remember enough for it to be a decent TR. I love y'all's writing style and looooove. All the details.....sadly I'm not as observant as I should be and trying to keep track of 2 small kids during the 2nd most crowded week of the year....well you get the point.....we will see!!

My cousin Jess and I rode ToT over and over like you and you mom did as well!!! It is fabulous at nite! I love looking at and seeing the big beautiful blue hat right before you fall! We actually tried taking pics but I can't remember if they turned out or not!

Ok, I'm probably going to be banned from the DIS after this comment, but I'm just going to lay it all out there.....I've never seen Stacey .....there I've said it out loud (well kinda). Like I mentioned earlier we go to Disney for the World, and barely spend any time in the room (sleep & shower that's about it) so we hardly ever even turn the TV on. But now that I know she exists I will definitely turn it on next time!

Aw, thank you! I once auditioned for Hong Kong Disneyland and it did not go well But I mean, whatever. They want their cast to be extra perfect because they take care of them like CRAZY! If you live here and you move there to work for Disney, not only do you get housing, transportation, and good pay... they also give you an ALLOWANCE! On top of your pay. I didn't really want to move to Hong Kong anyway but if they cast me I would have done it... what an adventure! Sigh... wasn't in the cards.

It is a light crowd time. The first couple days of this trip was much more crowded than the rest of the time. You should definitely go during Halloween, in my opinion it is the most fun time to go and I have been during Christmas, the spring, the summer, and the fall... Fall is absolutely the BEST!

Hmm I don't know. With my situation I'm glad my mom and uncle tricked me into riding Big Thunder Mountain when I was 4 because it spawned my love of rollercoasters... but I was an adventurous kid. A lot of kids are genuinely terrified and when I see a kid yelling about how they don't want to go on something and crying... that is so not what Disney is about! I really wish Lee-Anne would at least try ONE thrill ride though, it's way less scary as an adult! Hopefully someday she'll broaden her horizons on Disney rides.

I love Pop so much but I am DYING to stay at AoA. That's where I'm aiming to stay on my next trip. I loved it SO much just visiting.

You should do a TR anyway! It's so much fun to relive everything and it gives the trip a new life, even if you don't remember every detail.

Aww thank you so much! I am actually too tall to be Tinkerbell. As far as I know, the only face characters that fit my height are Alice, Rapunzel, and Wendy.

I loved seeing all of Lee-Anne's firsts! It's so fun to go with someone who's not familiar with it and see it through their eyes. And you're right - nothing is better than October in Disney!

Day 2, Part 4 In Which We're Under the Big Top

AT LAST. IT WAS TIME. WE APPROACHED STORYBOOK CIRCUS AND I COULD NOT CONTAIN MYSELF.

I was bursting with excitement even more than usual because I had never seen it! After hearing so much about it all these months, I was just about to explode.

When it came into view, I just RAN up yelling "Storybook Circus!!! STORYBOOK CIRCUS!!!"

YES!

FINALLY!

It was just crazy. I mean, I've never seen a new area of the Magic Kingdom before. Sure, there have been new attractions, but not an entire new area. It's always been the classic Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Toontown, and Tomorrowland. That's just the way it is. Or... WAS. CAUSE NOW THE CIRCUS IS IN TOWN, BABY!!!

I love that they had posters of the "coming attractions" just like at the entrance to the Kingdom itself. Ah, Disney. You get me every time.

The first thing we went to see was BIG TOP SOUVENIRS which quickly became my favorite.

As soon as I walked in I was just IN AWE. I just kept saying "Oh my God...." in wonderment. It IS PERFECT.

You walk in and it's like you're in a giant circus tent. In the center is a bakery/snack area and surrounding it is a ton of merchandise. The walls are separated into sections titled for animals you see at the circus - "Elephants", "Tigers", etc.

IT JUST REALLY FEELS LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO THE CIRCUS! But better, cause no animals are getting hurt. So you know, in typical Disney fashion, everybody wins.

Storybook Circus is the perfect example of why Disney is better than everything else. Another theme park would have created a "circus themed area". Disney created a circus.

As if I didn't love Big Top Souvenirs enough, there was a CM walking around with trays of FREE SAMPLES OF CANDY APPLES!!!!!!

YUM TO THE 10TH POWER.

Omg this was really exciting to me. I mean, it's food related, so yeah obviously. But I gotta tell you, the one thing better than Disney food is FREE DISNEY FOOD!

That's really only a fraction though. They have a ton of delicious things! I really wanted either a Halloween cupcake or that Dumbo one... but I was determined to save my hunger for THE FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL later on!

They had a TON of Minnie Ears here so we experimented trying on the different kinds!

I loved that pink and blue one. I should have bought it!

We looked around for a long time. I was so overwhelmed being in a new Disney place. I just wanted to see every inch of it!

Soon it was time to explore more of Storybook Circus!

The water play area is cute. I like that they have one here, just like they used to with Donald's Boat in Toontown!

I took a picture of this CM because I loved their outfits. I love tuxedos with tails and find that they are severely under appreciated in the world of fancy dress!

Later on in this TR you will see my tuxedo jacket complete with tails when I dress up as Mickey Mouse for MNSSHP.... but that is for another day

I love when I see animal tracks that match the area. This time, it was elephants and bears that had stomped on through!

Day 1, Part 5 In Which Goofy Really Should Have Won That Oscar​

Hey look, it's the good ol' Barnstormer!

I'm glad they kept this just cause it was part of Toontown, but I've only been on it one time. I rarely say this about Disney, but I think it is one of those things that is honestly a kiddie ride.

I wanted to go on to see what I would think of it now, but since Lee-Anne doesn't like rollercoasters, we moved on.

I knew there was a character greeting area in Storybook Circus, but I didn't know it was themed as PETE'S SILLY SIDESHOW!

I just love that they made it Pete's thing. He's hilarious! They need to add something Max Goof related next. I love him!

Inside, you can meet Minnie, Daisy, Goofy, and Donald! The wait times were not long at all, so we headed in.

The left side line is Minnie & Daisy's, but first we headed to meet The Great Goofini and The Astounding Donaldo!!!

Before I go on, I must tell you how fantastically themed this greeting area is. It's by far the best in all of Disney World. At first I was kind of against them removing Snow White's Scary Adventures just to add a princess greeting area. My thought was that there are enough places to meet the princesses, why remove an entire great ride? But if they make the Princess Hall as detailed and well thought out as Pete's Silly Sideshow, I'm so in! That will be absolutely MAGICAL. If it's just like the princesses standing in front of tapestry like in Town Hall... But it will probably be amazing! I can't wait to see it.

The wait was super short and soon THE GREAT GOOFINI was before us, all decked out in his Barnstormer attire! Gawrsh, did he look great!

We are REALLY big fans of Goofy. When I was little, A Goofy Movie was the soundtrack to my life and so I told him, "Goofy, we think that you should have won an Oscar for 'A Goofy Movie'." He nodded furiously. SNUB!

Geoffery Rush won that year. Sure, a fine actor. But better than Goofy?!?! NO.

WOOOO!!

ROCK AND ROLL.

SO FUN. Next up was snake charmer THE ASTONISHING DONALDO!

Look, I don't know how Donald could have had the patience to learn how to be a snake charmer, but I'm going with it!

I loved his costume! I told him I was very impressed with the feathers in his hair. He nodded and pointed to them, showing them off. A lot of nodding and pointing for these guys!

Donald thinks he's #1 above Mickey Mouse. We'll just let him keep thinking that.

I mean, I love Donald to pieces, but Mickey Mouse is the king.

After meeting Goofy and Donald, you leave the room and end up back in the Big Top. Once we got in there, I noticed a CM wearing a clown nose who was holding both a bright red umbrella and a dog sock puppet.

Clearly, I was instantly fond of this person.

I stopped by and said hi, chatting with him a moment. I just loved everything this dude had going on. I asked if I could take a picture with him, and not only did he say of course, he grabbed his CM friend and handed me the umbrella!

Ugh. I love Disney World so much.

He said it was Lee-Anne's turn next for the photo and since she is always game to take pictures with sock puppets, she jumped right in!

I love when random things like that happen! I mean... imagine if that was your life.

I WANT TO WEAR A CLOWN NOSE AND HOLD AN UMBRELLA AND I WANT TO BE PAID FOR IT.

WHERE IS MY JOB DISNEY?!

Did I mention that like both Alice and Rapunzel, I AM BLONDE WITH BLUE EYES AND 5 FOOT 3 INCHES TALL?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????

Ahem. Yeah, I'm not gonna stop saying it.

I think that Donald only masquerades as a snake charmer. Couldn't you see the hilarious cartoon of Donald trying to charm a snake? Seriously, he would lose his ever loving mind! There would be lots of quacking and furious shaking of fists.

Storybook Circus is INCREDIBLE. The details are amazing there and I am so in love with Dumbo. I know it’s only like a 2 minute ride but it is so beautiful.

The CM outfits in New Fantasyland and Storybook Circus are awesome. I just love them way too much.

The Barnstormer is just…ok. I mean, usually I am going nuts about rollercoasters at Disney—or elevators that fall—but in my opinion, the Barnstormer is not the greatest.

I REALLY hope they make the Princess Hall well themed. If they don’t, I will be up in arms.

Ok, the pictures with you and Goofy and Donald are SO ADORABLE. I love them!
