"I'M STUCK IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!" A Delightfully Unliveable TR ~ NEW TR 9/27!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my God, I even went alone on Valentine's Day. Because it was about to close!! I couldn't waste my time going out with some stupid guy when Johnny Depp singing in the cinema was about to become unavailable to me.

Right?! A girl's gotta have her priorities!

I just spent the better part of last week (during work of course!) and 99.6% of yesterday reading The Adventures of Lia, Lee-Anne and Hansen in Disney World and I feel like this should be turned into a screenplay and shown in the movies.

Freaking amazing! pixiedust:

There is a reason why the letters E and F follow each other in the alphabet: Eugene Fitzherbert.

*sigh*

He really is the definition of dreamy.

As I read each new chapter I finally came upon the realization as to how and why you are as cool as you are: a) you're Italian, b) you live in the tri-state area c) you're into improv/theatre/acting and d) you definitely paid attention in English 101 (probably aced it too I dare say).

I think I'm probably too old to become a Disney CM (okay, scratch that, not too old for a CM but more than likely for one of the Princesses) but you my dear, should give it a whirl or at least play a Disney princess on Broadway. Your incredible memory alone would give you a leg up when learning the script since you have so much detail in your reports!

I definitely lurk around the DIS boards way more than post but I felt compelled to do so in this case. Reading about how you think, feel, eat, breathe, touch Disney and how it does the same back to you reminded me of myself and how the gamut of emotions all collide into this giant, sparkly glitter ball of multi-colored lights whenever I'm either planning a trip to Disney, reminiscing about a past trip or remotely even thinking of a new one.

I'm not an expert on life or anything but I know what I know and just from your writing style, the stars have already aligned for you. You have a heckuva career ahead whether that be CM, Princess, actor, writer, travel writer (Stacey! Samantha!! LOL) Girl - you are going places!

I can't wait to read more of this adventure not to mention the birthday trip with your besties so hurry up and post more chapters :lmao:

I totally thought of you Lia when I saw the post on the Disney Parks Blog about MNSSHP...they are adding a Jack & Sally meet in Town Square! I've never seen NBC (:duck:) but I know a lot of people will be thrilled to hear this news!

Aahhhh I love it!! Those little girls seemed very sweet, which makes me happy to know there are still children like that in existence. I love that little Belle insisted that you get a lollipop too. So sweet!

Thanks for the pro tip on scoring a good parade spot. I fully intend on putting that to use. :)

Oh Haunted Mansion, how perfect you are at night. I cannot wait to see it all creepy & glowtastic!!

SpaklyDiva,

Welcome to the Queen of the Poly fan club!! Like you, I was pretty much a longtime lurker on these boards until my wife told me about this awesome trip report that I just had to read. Both of us became instant Lia junkies! We were both so hooked on her fun and entertaining writing style that I was compelled to start posting a little. I have been on these boards for way longer than I care to admit and Lia's trip reports are by far the most entertaining threads that I have ever found.

By the way, I love the old school B-52's reference on your location!!

O to the M to the G - someone who *knows and GETS* the awesomeness of The B-52s in all their beehiveyness glory!! You rock! :thumbsup2

and it appears that you and your wife will be at the Food & Wine festivus at the exact same time that me and my hubby will be!!! How cool! You'll find me either in Germany half in the bag thanks to their awesome beer flights or in Japan doing the same thing but with sake :rotfl:

and Lia, calling Ms. Lia...where are you girl? You can't keep us waiting like this as I'm actually having to do work while at work and that is no fun at all! I'd much rather read about all your adventures (so I'm actually reading your trip report from 2011 now hee hee)

You got such spooky pics in this update I love it!

 The little girl who sat next to you in the parade oh my gosh that is so sweet! It's little moments like that that touch our lives exactly when we need it sometimes.

AHH I know! I love spooky MK. Thank you!

Exactly. (:

SO true ;)

WOW. I don't even know what to say!

First of all, thank you. Honestly, this comment is probably one of the most thoughtful compliments I have ever received and I truly appreciate it. THANK YOU!

I don't have much of an interest in being friends with a princess at Disney anymore, but to be in a Broadway show one day is definitely a dream of mine so fingers crossed. You never know!

LOL I love this wording so much, omg. You're quite the talented writer yourself!

You are really insanely kind and I thank you so much for the encouragement. :goodvibes I hope you enjoy the rest of the TR and my next one too! :flower3:

AHH. I freaked. Honestly. Oh my God, I wish I was going so bad. I can't even.

So, I know someone already said this on here... but I was at work, saw this and immediately copied the link so I could come here and tell you about it...
Jack Skellington at MNSSHP!

I know... I was at the store earlier today and there were these two screaming kids running around and knocking stuff over and I was just like seriously? I don't like to judge but man, parent your kids! There ARE well behaved ones out there so what's your excuse

YAY! Glad I could help.

You will absolutely love it!!

Great job! Love it all!

Thanks so much!

Not only are the B-52's awesome, the Wild Planet album (yes I am old and really have it on vinyl) captures those wonderful Athenians at their awesomest best!

Ha, I did not even notice that our countdown clocks match exactly. We are currently planning on hitting up F&W for the first time (this trip) on Sept 30th. If you want to find us, just look for a 6'6" guy who looks like he is about to have a heat stroke and a little 5'1" wife with long brunette hair, wearing one of her many pairs of sparkly mickey ears!!

awdwnut (aka. Rob & Jenn)

AHHHHHHHHHHHH OMG Little Belle... what a precious little child she sounds like. Thank goodness for Disney guests/people in general like her... :goodvibes

I don't want to hijack Ms. Lia's trip report but I had to comment to you Rob - you aren't going to believe this one but I just checked our trip itinerary and me and Kevin will be at Epcot on the 30th as well :cool1:

so I'll be on the lookout for you guys and as for us, I'll try to remember to wear my "Goonies Never Say Die" t-shirt as I highly doubt there will be that many 80s freaks like me wearing that shirt but I love the Goonies and the Truffle Shuffle still cracks me up every single time I see it :lmao:

PS - Wild Planet so rocks - Dirty Back Road, Private Idaho....I love Bouncing Off The Satellites from '86 too - Wig brings back a lot of funny college memories!

ATTENTION WORLD!!!

Please go over to Jess's College Program TR. I'm too lazy to link this, just go to the main Trip Reports page, it's there. She has posted 14 updates, and lucky for you, my glorious readers, THEY ALL FEATURE ME!! What could be better than this!??! So if you would like to get a sneak preview into what we did during #BirthdayFestivus13, please check that out! It's so weird to read someone else's account of what happened... LOL. The funny thing is, as lush as my memory can be, Jess actually included a few details that I had forgotten! Awesome awesome. So yeah go read about how magically incredibly fabulous it is to have me as a guest during your college program! Then, please do the college program... and have me as your guest! Thank you and goodnight!

P.S. This should be enough to hold you over until I update twice tomorrow!!! wahoo!!! :cheer2:

AHHHHHHHHHHHH OMG Little Belle... what a precious little child she sounds like. Thank goodness for Disney guests/people in general like her... :goodvibes

I know, just the existence of this child makes life seem all the less bleak! LOL. That probably sounds dramatic but I don't care. I LOVE HER!!

Hijack all you want! I appreciate that this exchange is based on a mutual love of the 80s!!! OH HOW I WISH I DIDN'T MISS THAT DECADE!!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh.

Those pictures are absolutely spooky!! I love them! (And finally made up my mind on a name. Woo.)

Your little princess Belle story is so touching and heartwarming. She reminds me of a pair of girls I met four years ago at Disneyland. We talked to them and their dad while waiting to meet Flynn and Rapunzel for the first time. They were barely old enough for elementary school and had just moved to the US from doing missionary work with their family for practically their entire lives. My friend and I ended up sharing our grapes, calming the eldest's fears about her new school and earned a hug from the littlest one. I will never forget the innocence, courtesy or intelligence of those girls, just as the little Belle and her sister will probably live on in your heart forever, too.

Looking forward to your next TR and sad this one is ending. :sad1: I've no idea what your friend's SN is so I'll just patiently wait for your double update.

I've loved reading Jess' report from your trip together, so I can't wait to read your side of things too!

LOL your Tarzan M&G sounds AWESOME. Even as an Oompa Loompa, Tarzan could get it.

You know, I bet a dancing zebra could also be friends with dancing ghosts. JUST SAYING.

Mini-Belle sounds like the most adorable kid ever.

One of my last trips, it was my goal to be on HM exactly at midnight, and it was AWESOME, so I can only imagine the elevated level of spook you would have gotten on Halloween.

Jess's CP report has been the #1 thread of the month for like 6 months now or something so I just assumed everyone knew about it, sorry! This is the TR: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3050629 I am in the updates starting from May 13, but the whole thing is good if you have time!

Wow, that is an incredible story! You are right, they will live in my heart forever. I could never forget them! :goodvibes

I'm so sad it's ending too! I want to re-live this trip forever, it was just beyond. But I can't wait to write the next one as well.

I really couldn't agree more. :goodvibes

I can't wait to write about it all! It's gonna take FOR-FREAKING-EVER though! Oh well.

Oh I TOTALLY agree. I hear Tarzan is greeting in Disneyland soon for LLF and I'm just so jealous of anyone out there who gets to be a part of that. omg.

Actually, I've heard the FOTLK schedule is pretty strict and if you are in that show, that's your full time job. But who knows! That would be head-spinningly perfect.

She really was. Well, is. I wonder what she is doing right now!

I like the way you think! It was insanely fun and SO SPOOKY. I loved it so much AHH I WANT TO GO BACK TO MNSSHP SO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.

I'm really loving that Sandy Claws Jack Skellington outfit right now. So brilliant! I feel like an idiot for never thinking of that before myself. What a great idea! I just went through a blog of the D23 Expo with pictures from the costume contest/cosplay there and one girl was Sally but dressed in the Haunted Mansion maid attire. It looked fantastic, so perfect! Honestly, people need to start being more original at these things.

The photos of the ballroom dancers from the Haunted Mansion taken on your phone do make it a lot creepier. Adds a fluidness to it and the lack of contrast makes it look like they are just fading into the background. Awesome! :thumbsup2 And that little Belle was too cute. It really does give someone faith in humanity with the way some kids act these days, that some can truly appreciate things like this especially in Disney. So presh.

OMG THE HAUNTED MANSION IS ALMOST LOOKING MORE PERFECT THAN USUAL ASDJFGHKDJNVU Oh I need to go to MNSSHP to see that in person. Master Gracey sure knows how to spruce up his humble abode for certain festivities. Hopefully in a couple of years he'll hire me as one of his butlers. :goodvibes And what a great way to end your last MNSSHP by riding it at midnight! I am wicked jealous right now. Haunted Mansion <3333

NEW FANTASYLAND! Ugggghhh... I just can't get over how I still haven't been able to see it in person. I need to not spoil it for myself or I might explode. The wine glass you got is beautiful though, Disney is so classy! And thanks for the Le Fou's Brew tips! I now might have a use for my old refillable mugs now.

What a great last party! Heightens the anticipation for whenever I go to my first MNSSHP whenever that may be, but it will happen! After reading this, it's SOOOO happening. And maybe I'll be working with Master Gracey one of those nights ;)

Can't wait to read about your last full day in the World! :mickeyjum

LIA!!!

Okay I just read ALL of Jess' reports from her DCP adventure and between you and her...

CAN I JUST ADOPT YOU BOTH???!?!!?

Seriously I love reading about both your adventures and am going through mad trip report withdrawal. We arrive 6 WEEKS FROM TODAY and I've already started packing...that's not too early is it?

I eagerly (and in certain social circles probably annoyingly bwahaha) await your next chapter :rotfl:

Hi! I am mostly a lurker but came out of lurkdom to post on your thread as well as Jess's thread- I have followed both of you from the beginning and love your reports. I really enjoy your humor, infectious energy and expressive way of describing your feelings and experiences. I am heading to Disney in 2 days with my 9 year son and your reports have helped me to see many details in Disney with a different eye and viewpoint. Thank you for taking the time to post about all your experiences. Btw- I live on Long Island and had no power for 10 days during Sandy- could have been a lot worse but boy, how I wish I was in Disney at that time!
Jackie
