I don't know why on this trip I noticed how poor the enter/exit set up is in Adventureland, and Tommowland.

We were coming out of Indiana Jones, and were stopped by a cast member as she roped off the exit, leaving us and lots of other guests trapped. She then turned and took down a rope that was holding about 60 guests from exiting the Jungle Cruiz. Now, not only do you have to wait to get in rides, you also have to wait to get out.

After our rope was removed, and we were able to exit, I noticed what a traffic trap it is from the Tiki Room to the Pirates. There is no room for walking traffic, because the all the rides there enter & exit into the same side of the street. With people backed up at the BBQ and gift shop on the other side of the street. The wheelchairs & strollers are lined up right down the middle of the street. And then the tree house is smack in the middle of the people jam. Add to that, there are roped areas to get fastpast tickets. It's very dangerous in that stretch for people with disabilities.

Since the new Buzz ride opened, it's a similar situation in Tommowland. The rockets, Buzz, and Star Tours all have their entrances & exits right in front of the Tommowland entrance. Again, no where for walking traffic to move. The guests have to battle through lines coming in or going out.

Just a suggestion for those heading to these two lands:
Go through Frontierland to get to Adventureland, and go through Fantasyland to get to Tomorrowland. Or take the train around the park to get to both lands. I believe it's safer!

I think you're talking about Adventureland where Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones, Tiki Room are -- it is a sea of people during peak times, and especially before/after Fantasmic. I usually take a deep breath when I have to go through those crowds.

We were there yesterday, Saturday the 15th, and I was fascinated by the traffic patterns they set up. It was a super busy day, one cast member told me the park had over 70,000 people in it. But they had the walkway in the front by the the bathrooms from Adventureland to Frontierland blocked off with benches and staffed with two staff members. I was sitting on a bench in Frontierland (by the cannon) taking a break and having a snack and so I got to watch for a while. I still don't understand what the point was. During most of the afternoon they also had part of the Adventureland entrance from the hub blocked, so you could only exit from Adventureland, not enter.

After the fireworks, again, you could only enter Frontierland, not Adventureland. The benches were lined up almost to the waterfront making the street two ways. We just wanted to go to the Jungle Cruise, so this was a bit frustrating to have to get swept along with all the Fantasmic people.

We had to walk to the Mark Twain loading dock, then down to Pirates to get to the Jungle Cruise.

Interesting that they did this, and not sure how it helps with the Adventureland traffic jams.

Actually, when Fantasmic is exiting, it does indeed help to only have 1-way traffic through Adventureland. Unless I'm in the area for Fantasmic, I just plain avoid that area at those times. Though I agree it is a pain during the day, I know how to get around these things.

Ah, yes....the traffic control in that whole area is like a gracefully choreographed and performed ballet! You know, just like Fantasia with the Gators, Hippos and Ostriches!!! :earseek:

You didn't mention what time of day it was, but to me Adventureland has always been a bottleneck, but i still love it. :cool1:
