I'm STILL confused about the expansion at DL.

Demolition has begun to some buildings in Downtown Disney. WHAT exactly is being built? A Downtown Disney similar to the one at WDW? An expansion to the actual parks? Or both??

It's still gonna be Downtown. They are just rebuilding that part of it.

From the look of the concept art, the former AMC will become a large grassy area, and shops will be reoriented along the monorail path. It'll open up that west end area of Downtown Disney.

I wouldnt say there will be additional entrances...this is a re-imagining of dtd

The construction going on now is just for the west end of DTD. There won't be any additional entrances to either park. There is concept art that shows just this plan.

If you are looking at the Disneyland Forward concept art, which shows more rides and park areas around the DL Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel, that is not the construction that is going on now. The Disneyland Forward concept art is just a theoretical imagining of what could happen over the next 30 years.

You may be thinking of the DIsneyland Forward concept art that shows the parks extended west that far...but that is not what is being worked on...yet. They may or may not ever get to it. For now, it's just a reconfiguring of that part of DTD because the AMC is vacant. They had to kick out Earl of Sandwich though, so it makes me unhappy!

When I went on the Disneyland website earlier it is only showing 2 restaurants. Is this right? Are the rest closed or is it the construction? Edit: Just went on the app under check dining reservations and more showed up.
