Man, I've been busy. I don't know if anyone here was wondering about me, but I just thought I'd let everyone know that I've been working my butt off. I've been at this job for almost a month now. I am enjoying it, but it sure is time consuming. I do enjoy being a court reporter though...I've heard some pretty crazy stories. I've only been on 4 depositions and subbed in court 4 times, but editing and proof-reading the transcripts is what makes it so time consuming. My second depo was in Downtown Dallas
I parked my car in one of the parking lots and walked a couple of blocks to the building where the supposed 2 to 3 hour depo was going to be. Not only was it longer than 3 hours, but we went for 7 hours straight and only had 3 five minute breaks!!! My favorite part was when the attorneys asked each other and the witness if anyone needed a lunch break and no one asked me at all...the poor little court reporter who was running a little late that morning and didn't have time to eat breakfast!!! Then, to make matters a LOT worse, when I finally got out of there, I couldn't remember where I parked my car
I was cold and hungry and walking around the streets of Downtown Dallas all alone. As soon as the sun went down and I still hadn't found my car, I had to call my DH to come get me. When he finally showed up to get me, we found my car about a block away. The problem was, when I left the building, I started walking in the oppisite direction of where my car was. Man, it sure did make me wish I had a car like KITT (from Knight Rider) so I could have just talked into my watch and said, "Hey, come get me." and the car would've drove itself to come pick me up
Anyway, I just wanted to let me friends here at the DIS know how things were going. Besides that terrible Downtown experience, things have been going great. Oh, and I've told my boss that it will be at least three months before I go back to Downtown again. I hate it down there!!!

We're here whenever you have the time to check back!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year (figure I best get them all in here just in case you go 'missing' again, LOL) Yes, in fact, I have missed you, however, about a week or so ago when I did a search to see if I was just missing your posts here and there, I saw you were around Thanksgiving time and a bit beyond, and I was at WDW then. If I seem to miss someone, after a month or so I oftentimes will drop a pm or email, so now, for you, I won't, LOL.
