I'm starting to have dreams...

Our "mom-n-dad" only cruise is just 2 months away, and last night I had a dream that we fell asleep in our stateroom and missed the whole first day, the sail-away, making Palo ressies...
The part of WHY we were in the stateroom in the first place was not clear Has anyone else ever experienced strange dreams prior to traveling?

On my only other cruise (Alaska) I dreamt a few times that I was lost on the ship and couldn't find my way around. I normally have dreams prior to vacations that I for whatever reason am running very late getting to the airport. I don't know if I make the flight because I always wake up before the dream is over. Now mind you I am normally a very early person because I compile "just in cases" in my mind. I have to leave early in case there is traffic, in case there is a line to park, etc.

I've had a few about missing the ship (either in PC or in a port). But my real nightmare came true when after a year of planning I discoved I did not have DH birth certificate!!! I had one for each of the 2 kids and 2 of mine!!! I felt like I had been punched in the stomach!!! Luckily it worked out Ok, but I was pretty upset for about an hour waiting to find out if he would be allowed to board.

Had a dream the other night about missing an excursion. Now, first I have to say that our cruise is in one week from today and we don't have any excursions planned!! I apparently was in the "check-in" desk looking for my husband, when someone told me the excursion "ship" had left with my children on it! I got really angry and said they have to make it come back since it had my kids on it. This is just one of the many dreams I've had recently. Earlier on, I was dreaming about all the food and eating I was doing on the ship and all the excercise I had to do while there to compensate! I promise to let you know in a couple of weeks that this was for naught. In reality, my only worry is motion sickness and terrorism.

Even after 28 Disney cruises, I tend to have some weird dreams when our vacation is coming up. Since I am a very nervous flyer, I have a recurring dream that when we are on the plane, it just keeps driving around the airport but doesn't go up in the air. Sometimes it has taken off but has had to land again due to a problem, but usually it is just driving around. Even with my psych. degree, I'm not sure what it means...maybe I am just "practicing" for the upcoming trip. As for the ship itself, I often have pre-cruise dreams, but they are nothing in particular...usually jut dreams of being on the ship, going into the ports, etc. The strange thing is, the ship always looks much different in my "Disney dreams" than it does in real life!

I think my 2 year old has been having DCL dreams! Yesterday morning he was babbling about dreams & when I asked what he dreamed about he said the Mickey Boat!

I had a nightmare before our cruise - the couple from the previous week was still in our cabin! And they didn't seem like they were in a hurry to leave. Could it have been Barb & Tony?

My poor ds-11 told me the other morning that he had a nightmare that he found his suitcase empty when it was time to leave for the airport. I think that was probably brought on by the fact that I had stripped his drawers and closet of all summer clothes when I started the packing process.

I also want to know just what kind of subconscious thing goes on that lets us have such vivid dreams about being on the ship when we've never even been there yet!?! (so yes, I too am having dreams)

I have recurring dreams about my family wondering off before the sailaway party and I spend that time looking for them. Very frustrating.

It must run in my family; Chichihoney is my daughter. Lol

I've had two "nightmares" recently. The first was that I was told I needed a passport to board, when all I had was my birth certificate and id....in the dream, my family went on the cruise without me. The second dream I had involved me forgetting my birth certificate at home. Maybe I should go ahead and pack that thing now...even though I still have 5 months until my cruise
