I'm sorry to ask this, but can you help me out with info on prepaying for the room?

I know this has been asked before and I tried the search feature, but it didn't give me what I was looking for. I have the form to prepay for my room, but I feel a little uneasy faxing it over to accounting with all my credit/debit card info. I remember a poster here giving a direct phone number to a woman in the accounting department. I think her name in accounting was Yolanda, but I can't find that thread. If anyone knows her direct number, please post it.:thumbsup2

Since I'm creating this new thread, I might as well ask few more questions to those who have done the prepayment before.

Will the money be taken out right away and my balance be zero at the time of check in? Or will it be held in some form of waiting mode until I check out? I don't want another huge amount put on my credit/debit card and over draw my account. I just want to have all my vacation paid for in advance and the less hassle, the better.

FYI, I plan on doing no charging to the room what so ever and will be paying cash for just about everything. When I stayed at the PBH two years ago, I declined charging privileges, but didn't prepay back then. Any help by you fine folks here on this board would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Your room account will show the amount you have paid.
i.e if you pay say $1000 and you stay for 5 nights at a cost of $200 incl tax a night, they will deduct the cost of 1everynight you are there from the total, so after 5 nights it will show zero, but do not forget parking

i received my email from universal today and this is part of what they sent me:

Good Afternoon,
Please find attached the Third Party Authorization Form you have requested. Please return fax to 407-503-9208.

If you have any further questions you can contact our Accounting Department at 1-888-716-9738 or by email at uocs@loewshotels.com.

i requested the form so i can pre pay again this year.
i'm getting a different number this time than what robert did.

i'm assuming there are many employees in the department.

We had to prepay when my daughter went down because she doesn't have her own credit card and they needed one for the room payment. There were no issues.

Thank you so much for your help and I just got off the phone with Yxxxx and she was great. You can pay by check also and that's what I intend to do. I can even send in more than what I owe if I want to have a balance I can charge off of. I probably won't do that, but it's nice to know it's an option.

I don't have any credit cards except for the debit style that takes money directly out of my checking account. When on vacation I work off of my cash I carry and my debit card so there's no bills waiting for me at the hotel or at home. I like to make things simple and keep the stress to a minimum while on vacation.

Thank again to all that have helped me out here and posted replies. It's great that all of us who enjoy USO can help each other out. :thumbsup2
