I think maybe when you are banned, VMK doesn't want you playing with other characters. It kind of defeats the purpose of the ban.

did you really think that telling staff that you were banned while you were on VMK was the smartest idea? I was actually suprised he didnt ban you RIGHT AWAY when you told him your main charachter was banned. This charachter DESERVES to be banned because you specifically violated a ban and then had the audacity to tell them about it.

Lax, sorry to say but I agree with everyone above. That wasn't the brightest idea letting VMK know you had circumvented there system and created a new character. If you want to play again, then don't tell anyone.

Keep it on the "down low"

Yes, it was pretty obvious that if you are banned you are to stay away from VMK.
If you're tired of the bans respect the VMK values. Enough said.

oh no... my computer IP is banned so now my sister cant get on :(
Start with reading your pms -.-

Well that was not the smartest thing to do, going to tell a staff that you got banned on another account. Going on another account just defeats the purpose of a ban. If people go on other accounts after they get banned they might as well not have bans anymore...

Here's a little warning for everyone. NEVER EVER discuss ANY bans on the game. All text is monitored and VMK doesn't like players discussing other players bans.

Oh, yeah. It really does help to follow the VMK Values. ;)

And the reason your sister can't get on: I'm sorry to say....it's you.

Because you were able to get around the ban on another character,
they made sure that NO characters from your household can get on now.
And that includes your sister's character.

So yes, your actions did affect your sister. Just sit tight until Sept 21st
and perhaps an "I'm sorry I messed up" to your sister would be in order. :)

And I second that motion to read the VMK Values again. Link to it is
on the VMK home page.

I would suggest that you print out the VMK values and tape them to your mirror so you read them every morning. Tape another copy to your nightstand so you read them every night. Memorize them. Get them tatooed on your forehead (backwards so you can read them in the mirror). Whatever it takes to get it through your skull what they are and more importantly, WHAT THEY MEAN! Blaming VMK for your mistakes is not right. Causing your little sister to lose out on playing VMK is not right.

Oh, and those of you who want to tell how to reset the IP, please don't!

I would suggest that you do not listen to whatever it is in the PM that Nanoer is sending you. If you get around the ban, yet again, they may just decide that allowing you, your family or any future kids you may spawn, isn't worth the effort of ensuring you learn how to follow VMK Values.

Agreed. Considering that Nanoer was given the 10 year ban, yet he's
been playing as "Nanoercloneon" by getting past the IP ban.
Just because VMK hasn't seen fit to find a way to ban him again DOESN'T mean they won't eventually do so.

You were banned. So you created another character to play while you are banned. And while using second character, you talked about your ban on VMK. So now your IP is banned so that no one in your house can log in.

Hmmmmm......
Gee....Doesn't make sense!?

This is true of everything in life. You cannot go forward in life breaking the rules, getting punished and then finding another way around that punishment. At least not without worse consequences that may affect your family and friends.
And this is what happened.

It's simple to avoid bans.

Follow the rules!

Ok, lay off the kid a little here. His PARENTS are the ones who should be blasting him on this, not us. We told him what he did wrong and thats that. He does not continually need to be told that he "should be banned for life and his grandkids lifetimes" etc. Thats for VMK to decide. It is just an IP ban, which is one of the silliest bans ever since 99% of all computers change IP addresses at least once per week. He probably has the shockwave ban too now.

I hate to say most of us probably saw this coming with your last post Thanking VMK_Lion.

We all kind of cringed when we saw you actually thought that was good to bypass your ban and then tell staff. There is a process for fixing bans that you consider unfair. While only the individual and VMK know what really transpired that leads to a ban, we see people cry unfair, unfair all the time.

If anyone feels the need to go around the a ban for whatever your justification then I recommend a few things:

1. Keep your ban and circumventing of the ban a private thing.

2. Examine deep down the real reason for the ban - fair or not and determine if there is anything you could do different.

3. Make a serious determination to change your actions and friends if necessary.

If you are working around a ban you should be acting like you are in the Witness relocation program and not flaunt this around and contact all your friends and staff and post it...not a very good plan.

For our part here on the board, While we should be supportive of our friends we should not actively be supporting the activity of working around the system VMK has set up to keep their community safe and operating within their value structure whether we like it or not. The system is there for everyone’s protection and to make VMK a more enjoyable place. Continued conflict with the structure of VMK and challenges to its authority can only eventually lead to its demise.

I'm sure we all push the envelope a little at times but I'm sorry I'm just tired of hearing how everyone goes around their bans. That is a private issue keep it to yourself - or maybe I am the crazy one.
