I'm so tired of this weather, I bought into DVC!!!

It's cold. Bitter cold. We've been talking high temps of 0. When we finally break out of the teens, it snows. And snows. And snows. Tomorrow is snow, Friday is back to cold, then Saturday is snow again. This has been a brutal winter here in Wisconsin.

I think that could be a big part of the reason I put an offer in on a SSR resale via The Timeshare Store. My deal was sent to Disney for ROFR last Wednesday. If this goes through, there will be breaks from the winter every year until I'm 80.

I live in Franklin, WI (a suburb of Milwaukee) and we have already had 75 inches of snow this winter!

We spent ten days at WDW (OKW GV) and when we came home on February Third, I bought a 25 pt add on just because I missed warm Florida. It has been so miserable that I bought another 25 pointer on the Eleventh. I'm going to end up with a lot of points if this lousy Wiscosin weather continues.

Congrats on your purchase! I lived in Wisconsin for the past 3 years, (just moved back to Michigan in December), and I don't blame you one bit for wanting to get out of the cold. This seems to be the worst winter Wisconsin has had in ages! Hopefully you can thaw out in your new villa.

Hmmmm... I sense a missed marketing opportunity on DVC's part. There should be special addon deals for those of us in WI who have our will to resist weakened by this horrible winter weather!

Now that I think about it, we bought our first Disney contract in the month of January. I'll bet winter DID have an effect on my judgment that year...

I grew up in Wisconsin but lived most of my adult life in Michigan. We've had about 84" of snow here in Michigan so far this winter and its been bitterly cold.

We've had trouble all season long trying to go visit family in Wisconsin due to weather. My DS didn't make it out this Christmas because of snowstorms and we've been trying for the last 3 weekends in a row to go visit him but road conditions both here in Michigan and in Wisconsin have prevented us from going.

I'm sitting in my house right now unable to get out of the driveway due to being plowed in.

I too recently made the decision to buy DVC and am patiently awaiting ROFR.
