I'm so excited! I just got my new lenses, but I have a question.

I ordered two lenses on Mon. from B&H. They arrived today and I can't wait to try them out . I have what will most likely be a dumb question though.

I ordered USA lenses not imported because I didn't want gray market lenses. It says made in Japan (Canon brand) on the lens. So are Canon USA lenses indeed made in Japan, or are the made in Japan lenses considered gray market?

It has to do with the warranty. When you buy the import you are not getting the warranty that you get when you buy the US version.

my non import Canon US lenses are made in Japan...confusing huh. maybe the imports are made in the US? but previous post is right, it's a warranty thing
