Hi Everyone,

I'm way off booking as of yet but I am interested in learning as my as possible about the Cruiseline and all it has to offer. So I suppose my first question will be....

Where do I start? I have an idea of where I want to go and for how long but am intersted in learning about the various shore excursions and how much they cost? I just read about excursions for teens:eek: My DD will be in heaven!

So if all you nice people canpoint me in the right direction, I'd much appreciate it!

A Disney Cruise wannabe,
TIA,
Lisa

Other than reading these forums, Barb & Tonys site, and Daves site too, have been great sources of info. Barb & Tonys is castawayclub.com I believe, and Im not sure about Daves off the top of my head(sorry Dave). Im sure someone will have it for you soon.
Happy planning!

have numerous friends ask about tips for DCL/WDW and below is what I've sent them...hope this helps you...the links others have offered may be the same...have offered some description on each. hope this helps...

We've booked two of our three cruises with Dreams
Unlimited...through Carole - wish all were through DL/Carole. You can get pricing through the below link -
please tell Carole I said HI!!

Try some of the below links for additional information;

ALL EARS NET and Mickey Morgan, creator of the Magical Disney Cruise Guide, partnered to bring the very best Unofficial Disney Cruise Guide information
to the best online Disney Cruise Line travel guide (wdwig.com). The Guide is only available via download as a WORD Document (start here - this is wonderful - even though this is 90+ pages...it's a great idea to print this - you won't regret it)
http://wdwig.com/mdcg.doc

This is a site by a couple in Chicago that has taken over 30 Disney
Cruises...they have this down to a science. You can find trip
reports...menus...navigators...etc. "yours truly" is mentioned....i'll have you find the 'hidden' "kevin from arizona".

Dave's Disney Cruise Line Tribute Site - has info on 'one way' car rentals + other great info...you'll spend an hour here with a smile on your face. You can rent a car at the airport - use it to tour the parks - then, drop it off near port - 2 of the 3 agencies will shuttle you to port - for free. Then, when you get off the ship, you can get a 1 way rental back to the airport. For groups of 3, or more, this is cheaper than Mears or Disney transportation. Since DCL is one of the only cruise lines you can take 'adult beverages' on-board...this is another great reason to rent a car.
Also, this has some great maps with directions from the airport to
port...excursion info...etc

Disney Cruise Line forum...if you can't find what you want in the above sites...post your question - or browse the search engine.

We/I've been to Orlando 6x's since 95. I am amazed how many people just show up and have little to no idea about WDW/DCL. To quote my past Training Manager...you don't know, what you don't know - what you don't know. Sad to say most people go
once in their lifetime and don't know what they've missed. DW is 50 square miles and can be one of the most overwhelming vacations to plan for.

Thank You everyone! I shall have lots to research!

Much Appreciated,
Lisa
