Yesterday I put the final touches on my trip to the land of magic. I made my flight reservation months ago and, two days ago, I finally reserved the Disney Magical Express. I also reserved an ECV from Buena Vista Scooters.
Yesterday, I called member services and purchased the dining plan. With that in hand, I made my ADRs. I was in a quandry because I'm going to WDW primarily for the International Food and Wine Festival and if I stuff myself at the various stands, will I be able to sit down for dinner and eat a full meal?
Anyway, I decided to make the ADRs and see what happens, although two of the ADRs are for lunch. On the first day, I have a very early dinner at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion. It is early because on my first day, I will have been up since 3:00 AM for my 7:30 flight out of Bradley and by 5:00 PM I will be dragging. I'm traveling as a single (my wife is unable to come with me) so I'm not going to Akershus to see the Princesses but rather for the food. Some of my relatives came from Scandinavia and besides I've eaten there before and love the cold table.
On my second day, I have a reservation at Spoodles on the Boardwalk. I will be staying at the Boardwalk Villas so I won't have to travel far.
On Sunday, my third day, I have a lunch reservation at Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion. I've eaten there years ago with my wife and children and enjoyed it thoroughly.
On Monday, I have an early afternoon reservation at Coral Reef. This is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. However, I may have to call and cancel this rezzie because it kind of puts a crimp in my planning (having to be at EPCOT when I would like to be at another park).
Tuesday, I have a dinner reservation at Teppanyaki in the Japan Pavilion. I was informed that the restaurant will change its name to Teppanedu(?) when the refurbishing is completed.
Wednesday, my next to last day, I have an early dinner reservation at Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge. This rezzie dovetails nicely with my trip to the MK.
So, I think I'm just about ready for my magic ride to WDW. The only thing I have to do now is pack. I would start today but my wife told me not to because then she would think that I am crazier than she already believes.
I told her that she married me and stays with me in sickness and health, in poverty and wealth, and for Disney or not.
