I'm proud of my DS!

My DS is a sophomore and plays in the high school band. After playing in their last parade they went to the local amusement park for the rest of the day.

He was telling me all about what he did, who he hung around with, etc. He said when they got off the bus at the park he noticed another drummer (freshman) was walking by himself so my DS asked who he was going around with. He said he didn't know, he'd find somebody. DS told him to come around with him and his friends.

Then later they were walking around and he noticed another drummer in line for a ride. He said there was a little kid in front of him and a big guy with tattoos in back of him so DS figured he must be alone. He went up and asked the kid who he was with and he said nobody. DS said get out of line and come with us. The kid said he wanted to ride that ride so DS said they'd wait for him at the exit.

Its just a little thing but I am really proud of him for trying to include people and noticing when someone is alone and needs a friend. This is probably his greatest quality and just comes natural to him without really even thinking about it. He's a really good boy and I'm proud of him!
