For everyone who's asking, Julie said I could pass along some info about what happened to Matt...

I guess it started before Christmas, but what it comes down to is he "injured his back/neck spinal area and MRI results have shown some concerns...we are seeking treatment options." I guess he is in a lot of pain...

They had a doctor's appointment today to find out the options but I haven't talked to her since then.

I know they'll appreciate you keeping them in your prayers. And I'm sure a little pixie dust couldn't hurt.

I'm sure she'll update with more info. as soon as she can.

Love the "risque" question, totally something I'd get from Daniel. He had a similar funny at school last year. They had free reading time in the library one day, Daniel was allowed to get books from the upper grade shelf and unbeknown to the teacher he selected a book on girls/puberty/etc and loudly asked "what's a tampon?"

yes as Amy quoted from me (from an email I sent her after she demanded to know what was wrong...) Matt felt he had injured himself at work right before Christmas...and suffered bad pain in his upper back/neck and left arm...as the pain, discomfort, and numbing in a few fingers cont.; he saw a doctor a few weeks ago, which lead to a MRI and then a follow-up appointment last week...we now know he didn't actually injure himself but has deteriation of some discs which is causing bone spurs and tension/narrowing of his nerves in the neck which affect his arm. Right now he will be getting a shot to hopefully release the tension and allow the nerve to heal and seek out some 2nd opinions regarding further treatment...

we hope and pray that the shot will help, as he is in constant pain, thanks for all the pixie dust too!

a Disney (text) Logo shirt in a Ladies Medium!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH NO!!!!! How can this be...I can't believe it....

I don't know what made me look in the bag w/ all the Disney shirts I have been ordering over the last year and a half for the next trip this morning after church...but to my dismay I have realized that what I thought I ordered I did not...even found my original order reciept from Disneystore.com and I somehow didn't actually order this shirt.

I have 5 shirts...5 matching shirts ALL in the Disney (text) logo...but no shirt for me...

I intended to get one for each one of us...

I have a grey one for Matt

a navy one for Aldine

a bright green (good Diser color, huh?) for Michael

a pink one for Mae

and a red one for Margaret

in my notes I had intended to get a pink one for myself...but something must have happened because not only do I not have it or ordered one

YOU CAN NOT GET THEM ANYMORE at disneystore.com...
I seriously do not know how I never noticed it was not in the package when I order the other ones or why I never looked at the invoice...

what I am going to do...I can't be the odd man out

Unfortunately I don't have that shirt, have other logo ones but not that one. Also checked eBay without luck. What about trying to get one of those talented people on the DISign board to do up an iron-on for you. Won't be exactly the same but probably wouldn't be noticable in photos, etc.

well today was a not a special Disney Day...you know one of those burnt bagel days ...

but I was glad to get up another BLOG post today and on Feb 1st to boot...

so thanks for all the comiserating w/ me over my shirt woes...so no I did not check ebay but thank you to those who did look...I was thinking it would ending up costing me more than the $7.00 I would have paid...

I had not thought of an alternative way to re-create the matching shirt till irishdancer mentioned it....

I have not given of hope of finding one (I'm going to broaden my request later on another thread any suggestions?)

but for now here is my hopeful stnadby solution...I was able to order (I think) a man's small tank top of the Logo...the site was acting all weird with not bringing up the images but I have a confirmed order so we'll see what color I get...but this is what I am thinking....

I can ask my sister who sews to cut out the Logo portion of the shirt and serge stitch it to another plain t-shirt that is my size and hope for the best

Or I guess I can wear my man's tank top over a long sleeve shirt...would that be pure Disney Dork?

I want to get caught up w/ all my sub's and then I'll be back to start on some Feb updates...plus I have a special bit of Magic happening tomorrow that I hope to report on

I like your two options with the tank top. Wait until you get it, then you can decide. What color is it? If it's warm enough you could layer another tank top under it? Save those shirts for the warmerst day? I guess it depends how huge it is though... maybe a dress?

Can't wait to hear about your bit of magic tomorrow!

I actually don't know what color I ordered oh even how it will fit...I figure $7 + shipping, I have nothing to lose...since I don't have a shirt to begin w/...

I'm going to wait till I get it and then talk w/ my sister and if it just won't work I'll do my request on some other boards...someone HAS to HAVE a shirt I can borrow...

that is too funny...yes there is a running joke w/ my scrapbooking girlfriends...our first ladies weekend away in MI about 2 1/2 hrs from home...I'm unpacking my bag and realized I forgot ALL of my MEDICATIONs at home...I would be seriously w/ asthma and allergies if I went 2 1/2 days w/out anything...I was in a bit of a panic...I had packed them, but took the bag out to squeeze one last thing in and then didn't put the bag back in. Luckily we were staying is a house that belongs to one of the ladies in-laws and they will coming up that night to do some work while we were there and hadn't left yet and brought me my med's

Hence I have never forgotten my med's again

I'll keep you posted on my shirt issues...

I had a wonderful Dis-meet w/ irishdancer today...​

This morning irishdancer and I met at Panera and chatted about life, kids, Disney and more....

we have "met" here on the boards through other people's TR's and such and have exchanged several pm's back and forth, when we realized we lived only some 25 minutes from each other...

we've talked about having a Dis-meet for several months now and so glad it worked out today. It was like we were old friends chatting away for 2 hours...it was a lovely morning.

We found out we had even more in common than we had orginally thought too...(even 1 of her sisters knew my SIL in HS and we used to both bank at a local bank where my Mom used to work, oh and we both sported great VB bags )

I am sorry I have no pictures to share...duh? I even had my camera in my bag.

And Kathy you'd be proud of me, after reading about your wonderful Halloween Dis-meet, I brought a little gift to irishdancer, an original Scrappie

maybe irishdancer can share a picture for us...

we had a great time talking and it was a fun bit of the Magic far away from "Mouse"

we look forward to talking more on the boards and in person again soon...
