Wow, add me to the list of impressed!

I'm a binder girl too and I have color coded spreadsheets which DH likes to tease me about but he doesn't complain when we're there and things go smoothly.

I forgot to mention my spredsheets and other color-coded stuff....oy...I'm "crazy"

Just a FYI for all you planning people out there who thought they were impressed by my grand organizational skills.....administration is one of spiritual gifts, after all :rolleyes1

but there is always something new or things I haven't done to keep me in the Disney know and travel savy....

Thanks to Amy (DisMom) and irishdancer I have signed up for two new things...

Mousesavors newsletter and special deals...like as soon as DH gets paid Unoffical Guide 2010 will be mine w/ a sweet % off (thanks honey ;))

and I signed up for SouthWest Airlines click n save...need some help keeping track of the flight schedules and deals too...

also Amy told me yesterday that later in March they will release dates to book thru Nov. 5...so she suspects late May/June till they release for our fly-out date of 11-19....

DRAT! I was really hoping the flights would be out before we made our dinning plans...but I guess it won't mess too much up...

Ok need to shovel and plow my way out to pick up Margaret from pre-K...wish me luck!

I've gotten some car rental discounts through mousesavers! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear the snow didn't keep the kids home from school today. :cold:

Scrappie, I'm so glad I found your PTR today. It was exactly what I needed to lift the spirits. I've been away from the boards for way too long now...initially it was self-imposed b/c I was so :sad1: :sad2: that our Sept trip was over, then life jumped in and made dissing, unfortunately, too far down on the to-do list. Life is still crazy, but I had to pop in and see how all my Dis-friends were doing.

I hope everyone is healthy again, so sad to see Margaret in the hospital...but so cute that Santa and Mickey were with her :)

Can't wait to follow along your PTR for the exciting BLT with POP and chime in when I can. As always, I :worship: to your organizational skills! :goodvibes

All that to say... I'm in and ready for the ride popcorn::

yes the snow didn't turn out to be as bad as they predicted...but didn't make it to Michael's doc appt

DizLiz is here, it is so awesome you found me...sorry you've had the major Disney blues and things have been super busy for you, but glad you stopped by to say HI and are enjoying the beginning of my PTR...

yes we are getting better...and cute story about the Mickey plush...I didn't remember that Mickey from my childhood, but the other day my DSis and future DSIL were going thru all my Mom's old pictures for pictures of my DBro for their wedding slide show and there was a picture of my DBro and I in his room as kids w/ all our stuffed animals piled together, and Mickey was in the picture :thumbsup2 I'll post a picture when they are done w/ the orginal.

Impressive planning, and congrats on the BLT!

Hi, Julie! I am here! Your trip sounds like it is going to be so much fun -- birthdays, Thanksgiving, and a stay at the Bay Lake Towers! Too cool!!!

I am in love with your binder and your to-do list for the upcoming months. You may see something similar emerge over on my PTR! ;)

Hello!

I am a newbie to your PTR. I am all caught up!! I am wowed by your Binder--mine is a work in progress still! I am getting there with creating the dividers and such.

Question: Where did you find those cute divider pockets? :goodvibes I may have to find those for myself...:rolleyes1

:welcome: Charlefours

I think it is so cute you posted right after Charleston Princess ;)

and yes as your PTR siggie says it is never to early to start planning...have lots of fun w/ it!

the pocket dividers are store bought a few yrs back most likely Target or my DH brought home from work? I like the 3 ring tab w/ pocket seems to work well together. and then I just Googled images/logos etc of Disney stuff and downloaded a free Waltograph font to make the sections titles and taped on each pocket, it's more fun that way.

I use Microsoft publisher but you can probably do it on other programs too. hope that helps!

thanks for reading all!

I am having LOADS of fun planning and hanging out on the DISboards. :goodvibes It's quite addicting!!::yes:::blush:

I started to make my dividers too and my At-a-Glance chart. I think I am going to make my divider pockets too but we shall see. I have a few section divider title pages done but I am still working on them. I do them when I can. (probably should be studying instead some of the times :rolleyes1)

Looking forward to reading more :surfweb:

Hello all :wave2:

hope most of you are warming up or thawing out a bit after the crazy cold and snow we've had a few weeks ago...plus those of you w/ kiddos in school, routines are getting back into the groove after Holiday breaks...

it seems silly that the Holiday season of 2009 is all done, as my youngest Margaret keeps reminding me

"Christmas is over"

and all I can think about is the Holiday season of 2010 :rotfl:

*********************************************************************

A quick planning update for you guys...

so the other day I renewed my sub to touring plans and accessed their crowd chart for our Nov. dates (19-28)

not much has changed in comparrison to '09 w/ the exception of a few "best parks" differences and the crowd #'s have gone up from a somewhat scary 7 :crowded: Sat to Sat to a very SCARY :scared1: 9 Sat to Sat...

I looked over my intial schedule/itinerary plan and made a few adjustments to it, but not much can really feel set yet till the official operating hours are out (hopefully in May) and I can see how late/early parks open, the EMH schedules and the entertainment schedules...kwim ;)

DH asked me last night after the kids were in bed

"Do you want to watch a show or are you in the Disney Zone? "

Yes I certaintly was in the "zone", thinking away :scratchin

it seems to early to really be talking touring plans...but what I do know is this:

1) we'll be there a total of 10 days, 2 of which are our traveling days

2) of these 10 days, 7 will be park days

3) we will not go to the parks on Thanksgiving day, but be our rest day and try to have the only main "planned" thing be dinner at some resort

4) we are getting PH passes for the kids (AP's for DH & I) but don't want to be hopping every park day...have maybe at least 2 days as no hopping days and allow for breaks back at BLT

5) Despite any crowd charts, best or worst park choices, EMH schedules...I do want to go to MK the morning of Margaret's birthday which is a Sat. :cake:

6) like to spend most of our touring days at MK & Epcot

7) spend way MORE time at AK this trip

8) DHS will mainly be a filler this trip...hitting a few key attractions/rides and see the Spectacle of Lights

9) Our overal goals of this trip is to spend the girls Birthdays at Disney, see Holiday stuff, and enjoy our first DVC vacation :thumbsup2

thanks for reading and hanging in there w/ me! I feel like I'm kind of in a planning limbo for now till more Nov. '10 info is out and we can book our airfare...but I'll try to keep the PTR moving, fresh and fun :surfweb:

Scrappie J~

PS Photopass question....
anyone see this? I read this yesterday on the main site here, about pre-ordering the Photopass CD and that it is now only available to onsite guests not including DVC members? :confused3

what's up w/ this?

here is the link:

Hi, Scrappie J! I love the term "Disney Zone" -- I need to get into the Disney Zone before Tuesday which is our ADR day. It has come up quickly for some reason.

Number 9 is my favorite on your goals! All three of those will make for a GREAT vacation!

I hate that limbo phase! :headache:

I love your goals - they look good and very do-able. I think you guys will enjoy park hoppers. I have a couple days planned of not hopping. It's nice to have the option, but not mandatory for every day!

I heard about that photopass thing too! I'm bummed because I am leading a photopass share through Tour Guide Mike and we can't get the pre-order discount. Actually I'm more bummed that we can't pre-order - I'm not so worried about the discount, but it's nice to pre-order so the group feels better about sending money. Nobody who is staying on property wants to run it so we're out of luck! Luckily we're doing a share so the cost will still be pretty low for us. It's too bad they don't allow shares to be organized here on the DIS now.

I can't believe they aren't letting DVC guests pre-order!
