I'm Ordering a big BLT for Thanksgiving 2010 NEW 12/3 started TR! see link

Hey J,

I'm behind a bit but I did see that Matt isn't feeling well...I hope that's gotten better...

We too are huge Olympic fans...ok at least I am...:rolleyes1...I get the chills when I watch the opening ceremony...

will go back and catch up now...:surfweb:

For those of you who have read my previous two PTR's...you know I love to list the TOP 5 and my Wishes for each one of my children plus for DH & myself...

well I was just over on Charlefours PTR and she had listed her "TOP 10 things" she is most looking foward to in her upcoming trip in Sept. She asked her readers to share their list...which I did...how could I resist a list...:rotfl2:

and I thought I'd share it w/ you too.

Ok my "TOP 10 list" of things I am looking forward to on our next Trip...

1) Seeing Palm Trees- then I know I am on vacation...

2) Eating Tie-Dye Cheesecake at POP

3) Walking into our DVC home for the first time BLT!

4) BBB and Pirates League for the kids

5) experiencing Mae and Margaret's birthdays at Disney

6) Going on BTMRR w/ my oldest DD Aldine...it's our favorite!

7) Eating at CRT (hopefully) for the first time

8) Seeing all the Holiday decorations

9) Helping DS Michael w/ his "food report"

10) Sharing a portion of this trip w/ DH's parents

I know there isn't something specifically special for just DH and I but we have a whole TOP 10 list of our own for our anni trip next year...

In other news...

I have not worked much on any Disney stuff or scrapbooking in Feb...I have been so consumed w/ other things including the big school event I chair (how did I ever plan last March's trip :confused3)

and sadly one of Michael's "Mickey" fish died yesterday...DH thinks maybe when he cleaned and changed the water in the tank it was too much for the little guy...so bye-bye Fireball :fish:

DH is hanging in there (thanks for asking Triple P) he felt in the last week some improvement that his pain and discomfort was only in the afternoon and evenings (gotta start somewhere) and today was his second hydrocortisone shot...we hope in just under 3 weeks he is feeling way better...as my DBro's wedding is coming quick...

thanks for reading all

J~

Great top 10 list!! Most of my lists of favorites have been specific things for each park... I think I'll come up with a top 10 overall for the trip too.

Thanks for sharing!!

Glad to hear Matt is improving, even if it's baby steps. Hopefully the second shot will help & he'll be ready to enjoy the wedding. :thumbsup2

Love the Top 10 List!!! Can't wait to read all about the BLT and the Pirates' League.

I haven't been able to scrapbook much lately either -- I need summer so I can catch up!

Oooohhh! I love a good list and a Disney one is even better! ;)

Glad to hear Matt is feeling a bit better, hoping the second shot will take care of the rest!

Condolences on the fish, know how hard that is sometimes for kids.

Hmm, will have to come up with a top 10 list for our Spring Break trip. It's not WDW but it is Disney's HHI so almost. ;)

More to come on how I was inspired to decorate our savings jar but for more pictures and details click on my BLOG link below:

J~

Love your top 10.

The jar is so cute.

Cute Jar!! Are you going to wait until right before your trip before you cash it in?

I have a jar that looks VERY similar to that!

thanks for all the :thumbsup2 and "that is cute" comments...

The jar has been around since before our 2005 trip and lots of dollar bills would find their way in there from the Grandparents...as that was the BIG surprise trip...

Charlefours yes I cash it in before we leave...

I have other savings too that comes from selling clothes, toys, garage sale things...I sell Margaret's old clothes to a consignment shop, just sold a train table, train things and a highchair to a friend and another friend pays garage sale like prices for vs old clothes of Michael's...

that money stays in an envelope in a safe place...so this jar is for that change you get back or we took cash out for something and had a dollar or two left over...it doesn't pull alot in but it's a fun little reminder...as the trips get closer, occasional toothfairy money or "Grandpa gave me a quarter" will end up in there.

I have filled and cashed out the jar twice...once for '05 and then for the '08 trip (I didn't for the '09 trip)

so I hope to fill it to the top (and maybe then some) before November!

all of this money generally goes to souviners :cool1:

Hey guys...some of you may have read this or seen it but I wanted to point out a cute article I read the other night while sitting at the doctor's office.

"Mastering the Magic of Disney"

from Redbook Magazine March 2010

http://www.redbookmag.com/kids-family/advice/go-to-disney-without-going-crazy

click on the link to read it!

I just love how I sat down in the office w/ the expectant wait of a hour before we'd be seen to glance over and see the magazine open and the picture of Cinderella Castle looking back at me...

I also loved how it was about 1 lady's story of turning from Disney-no way to Disney-when can we go again :goodvibes

Here are some sweet tag lines:

"Jeannie Kim was pretty down on Disney-untill she and her family shared two fairy tale trips to Orlando. Here's how this skeptic-turned-devotee made the most of the happiest place on earth."

"When I saw the awe in my daughter's face as Cinderella Castle came into view, my heart grew about a million sizes." :lovestruc

As well in this aricle in led me to two new BLOGS

everythingwdw.blogspot.com

and

takethemonorail.com

the latter of the two is where I found the crafting section as well led to the inspiration to decorating my savings jar.

Lastly...I will have to post a video of it when she get's it down, but Aldine is practicing and learning Pirate of the Caribean for Orchestra at school (she plays the cello)

cool huh pirate:

we'll be getting into the mood!

Have a good weekend all! No school for my crew tomorrow and some much needed family time is ready to be had.

Scrappie J~
