just to have a reason to keep the oven on so it will be warm in here. (its 14 degrees here right now). Before you all go on about baking chicken or a roast or something, keep in mind, Im a pastry chef.....I CANNOT COOK. Sad, yes, I know. I think my mind is giving me really good reasons to bake things. But after this baking, then my mind will rationalize that it HAS to be eaten so it wont waste. UGH. I hate dieting......I think I'll make some caramel dumplings and have some vanilla ice cream. Cold makes people do some bad things.....

MOVE AWAY FROM THE MEASURING SPOONS!!!

Nothing like cold weather to make a person want to bake, and then eat it.
I hear ya. I made a Mickey head choclate cake last week and Mickey's ear is just calling for me to eat it. So far I have managed to avoid it by sloshing down a ton of water. If I have anything else I will be sick.

Well, here's what worked for me. I'm working with a great nutritionist who gives text message support. Just the other day I texted and said "please say something wise and inspiring to keep me from my husband's ooey gooey nachos" His ever so wise, demanding, inspiring reply to talk me out of it?

"Don't bleepin touch it!" :rotfl:

So there you go: JUST DON'T DO IT. Think of how you'll feel after. Go brush your teeth and drink tons and tons of water. Believe it or not, it works!!!!

23 lbs down since November 9 and still movin.....

Thanks guys. It helps to have someone textiing you. but I dont have text. I dont even have cell service where i live!!! I did go into my kitchen to make them and found that I HAVE NO SUGAR!!! YAY!!!! LOL

I have a great Weight Watcher banana bread recipe if you want it. I make it all the time but instead of fake sugar I use real sugar. It's easy, smells good, and best of all it tastes good! Let me know if you want the recipe.

My 5 word secret,

Go step on the scale

Makes me stop every time

You can bake but you'll have to give it away. If you really, really feel the need to bake, go ahead and do it but take the finished product directly to a neighbor and share the joy. Just make sure you take it over on a paper plate so they don't feel the need to refill the plate and send it back!

Maybe you could make some tasty treats to give as gift. Gift baskets full of goodies FOR OTHERS, will keep the oven warm and keep you on the road to slender city.

I love to bake, it makes me happy.
I need to eat gluten free so I just bake something that I can't eat and then give it away. :thumbsup2

Good Luck.

When i need a fix and am watching what i eat i make the weight watcher brownies. mix one box of devils food cake mix with 1 can of pumpkin. takes a lot of mixing then bake in 9x13 and if you cut them small---enought to fix your crave then they are less then one weight watcher point. Sometimes i just need a fix!!
