As fas as the sling bag goes, is it possible that they had a large stock of them before the bottom fell out of cruising and are still working that off?
It was a joke, I'm sure. The joke being that everyone wants Disney to do something new for the Castaway Club gift, but they have somehow found a way to keep the same bag, despite shortages everywhere else. I thought it was funny. Not sure what the OP is implying here. Supply chain issues as it relates to what?

100% agreed.Ahh. I see. Its so difficult to understand tone in written posts.![]()
We did our best to deplete the stock on our last cruise, taking a total of *eight* sling bags in 7 days! That's more than one bag per day! Weird things happen when you change rooms at port and when you take new cruisers on back-to-back sailings.
Probably due to sitting in a warehouse for, what, 5 years now? I’m so tired of those bags. The last few we got didn’t hold up very long and the seams started ripping apart
I hope they aren’t smelly like the other beach bags they gave out before these. They smelled so bad I left it in the cabin.Probably due to sitting in a warehouse for, what, 5 years now? I’m so tired of those bags.

Now, does anyone know where I can find distilled water?
I remember my wife & I complaining (translate: b!tching) about the burlap bags when we were silver and later gold. Now, we just hand the sling bags back to the stateroom host as we're unpacking. I think the 5 year lifespan of the bags/gifts is what kills me. Change it up every 2 years or so, DCL. Please?
Or a choice. Some people do want the thing, and, if they every change it, I’d like the option. When we had a lot of the backpacks (2 arms) and the little round red & black bags, we would bring ours to dinner the first night and ask a neighboring table if they were first timers and if they'd want it. Luckily they always were with the first table we'd ask so we didn't need to go table to table pleading.
I don't want to sound ungrateful; I think the gifts are a great idea for Silver, maybe Gold CC members. By the time we got to Platinum, we had enough bags and would rather have something useful & consumable during the cruise, such as internet or laundry credits.
