I'm Not As Tink As You Kronk I Am - Final Thoughts on Mustard's January Trip to WDW

It made me sad, too, to walk with you on your last day of such a great trip! I'm ready to see 1800 more pictures any time, so get to the planning!

The Papa John/Bean hat exchange is sweet. That's a picture to cherish!

I love those pics..

and aww...last monorail! It made me want to cry when you said that!

I'm curious as to how much they charged you to ship everything? 2 suitcases full seems like it would cost a pretty penny! Were those the suitcases you needed to pack up the rest of your stuff in the room? I'll bet that was a pain going back to finish packing. I hate the last day!!

I LOVE hearing what your mom said. It is so sweet! It made me smile so big, you have no idea!

I didn't realize GPS had trouble in the fog. :confused3 I'll keep that in mind!

I never get to see snow like that...wow!

Sounds like an amazing trip, and I'm so sad it's "over" again.

The answer to your last question is YES! :goodvibes

Thank you Cheri  And yup - that last monorail was a sad thing to see.

Hmmm, I'll have to ask DW how much it cost us since I can't remember offhand. And you got it ...had to take those suitcases back and pack :P

It was really special to hear that from my mom and to see the smile on her and DW's mom's faces at different moments on the trip. Seeing my immediate family smile is always wonderful, but I could see that it was an extra special experience for the grandmas :)

We didn't realize we would get grief from the GPS. We have fog here in Oregon durning the winter and I don't remember it giving us such a hassle. Go figure.

We didn't used to get so much snow here. We'd only get snow here on the valley floor every 5 or 6 years, but the last few years we've gotten snow a couple times a winter every winter! The kids love the snow days though :D

Yeah, our adventure is finally over, but you're right - I can't hold back from planning the next trip :woohoo:  :woohoo: I guess the question is ...exactly how far in advance can you start a TR??? :lmao:

Hehehe, thank you MeMom  I have both happy and sad thoughts, but mostly happy that I was able to share the wonderful time we had with my DISfriends ::yes::

The girls just light up around Papa John, I'm very happy I was able to catch a bit of that on film :lovestruc

Ask Trentmom and DisneyMommom! :rotfl2:

As of the end of the TR we had come back and were greeted by fresh snow. We packed away our shorts and sandals and got our coats and boots back out.

It took us a while to get back into the groove of work and school, but we got there. And a few days later our goodies arrived! There were some issues with the snow globes freezing in transit, but all survived except one small Sea World one (we're still trying to get it fixed or replaced).
Here's a shot of all of our treasures. Some have been sent off to family and friends and the rest are proudly displayed around our house :-]

Looking back I am very happy to say we had a wonderful trip to "the World." We experienced so much fun and excitement and smiles and hugs, it was just amazing. The CMs really do go that extra mile and I was very happy to see how well they treated all of us, especially the moms. They didn't interact with them like they had limitations, more that they found ways to make them part of the experience instead of separated from it.

And the girls may have gotten tired, but they were still full of smiles and glowing from each special little interaction they had on a ride, with a CM, or with a character. This trip has really done the job of making me a Disney fan for life. It will honestly be hard to think of a vacation (other than camping) that doesn't involve Disney :wizard:

So many wishes come true, so many unique experiences and lifelong memories created, it was just fantastic :goodvibes

I'm already getting a lot of "when are we going back?" questions from the girls :D Looking at the financial side of things, especially the cost of flying cross country  , I'm pretty positive that WDW will have to wait another couple of years (thinking maybe as a 16th B-day present for DD11 ;-]). So instead I am beginning planning a Christmastime visit to DL for early December of 2009 :woohoo: Now all I have to do is break it to DW so she can start wrangling the $$$ for it :lmao:

Well that's about it - I hope that those followed along were able to share some of the magic we experienced. Thank you all, you have been so helpful in making this trip happen and I am happy to have such a wonderful bunch of DISbuds!!! :yay: :grouphug: :yay:
