I'm Not As Tink As You Kronk I Am - Final Thoughts on Mustard's January Trip to WDW

Hi Mustard! I saw your thread on my hubbies computer........and decided to check things out!

Love the calendar!!!!!!!!!!It is very professional........can we sign up for lessons?:rotfl2:

Hey there and welcome to my little corner of the DIS world :) :yay: :)

ROFL! Ya know, I saw someone else do it using the Home Depot LGMHs and thought it would be a cool idea to do one of my own for our girls. But I had no idea it would get such a response ...hehehe. I figure I'll re-do the two LGMHs with the Christmas and New Year's ears to make them like the others and then make the set available for all DISers to DL if they want them :thumbsup2

Thanks again for stopping by!

Just posting to say that I've made my way over here. I'll come back and read tomorrow. :thumbsup2

It was quite a trial but she's over it now and back in the swing of things :) And yes, the whole school thing was a mess that I'm happy to put behind us.

You are not the first to remark on the rope drops ...hehehe. We're about half and half morning people and night owls. I put it in as a "hopeful" gameplan. I'm sure reality will kick in soon enough and I'm certainly willing to go with group consensus ;)

DD8 wants to be a vet or animal trainer and would LOVE to work with Shamu - she's the main reason for that dinner :)

We've taken those flights with babies and toddlers and it isn't much fun. Smart move waiting until DS is a bit older. DL isn't quite as hard to plan for since you aren't so tied to Disney property. We just stayed at the Best Western Park Place, literally across the street from DL. You still need to stay in a DL resort to get the dining packages though.

Tks about the calendar ...and the guy in the car is Mr. Incredible in his 'secret identity'. And yes, he was the graphic I picked ;) The Mickey/Minnie is the one DW picked :D

Now why doesn't that suprise me? :lmao:

I thought I might be the only one about the rope drops:rotfl2:

Did you see my question about secret entrance to AK?

Have to check some info on Best Western...Thanks

I didn't know DL had the dining plan. What resorts are on the dining plan?

You know me well:rotfl2:

I see Disneymom1965 here....Hi Bff:yay:

You shold feel honored MrMustard, Disneymom doesn't join a lot of pre trippies, as she is super busy, so it is quite an honor to have her here:hug:

Welcome Welcome Welcome! Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to hearing what you think!

No, not at all. The start of our days will be whatever they turn out to be ...but I can hope for early can't I? :D

And I don't know how secret that entrance is ...but you can enter via the gift shop in the Rainforest Cafe ;)

No problem ...and now that you mention it I think you're right - they may not have a dining plan  Much of the Dis stuff is still very new to me and I just made an assumption :D

I am honored that all of you have stopped by - it makes the whole trip feel a bit more real :thumbsup2 :)

  JUST CROSSED THE ONE MONTH MARK!!!

The planning continues. I purchased our park tickets yesterday - they'll mail out on Monday :woohoo: I also put up our countdown calendar yesterday:

countdown.jpg

The girls have each gotten to take a LGMH off already - yay! If you look close I did special ones for Christmas and New Years ...hehehe.

I'm still trying to get a firm yes or no from my sister & my nephew and his fiance as to whether they will be staying for DDad's birthday party. Originailly they weren't so I only made reservations for 7 at Fulton's Crab House. Now they will be there but haven't confirmed that they'll be going to the dinner. I know people have had a LOT of problems changing reservations, especially this late in the game  I hope to get ahold of them tomorrow.

All part of life's grand adventure I guess ;)

Today is our one month mark!!! Boy it's going by fast!
I love your calendar~how fun:thumbsup2
You've inspired me, I am going to make one today to celebrate our one month mark. It will help the two little ones understand how long we have left:goodvibes
Love your DL pics. Was it cold and rainy or just rainy? We lived in Riverside for 4 years when I was a kid and we went to DL all the time. We went back for the first time since growing up in 2000. It was my son's first time at Disney~he was 4 and a half. He and we loved it! It was in Oct. and the weather was perfect the 3 days we were there. One of these days we'll go back and my 2 who came after DL , but who have been lucky enough to go to WDW every year since they were 1 can experience it!
* We wished for a baby in the wishing well in Minnie's backyard in toon town and we got our wish times 2:cloud9: So they were there in spirit:wizard: *

I'm sure it will work out for you - I've heard good things about both places :) I just want to have the number for that one dinner settled so i can at least make some calls on it.

The trials and tribulations of going w/ a large group.

Aww....I am honored that you are honored....

Now on with the show:cool1:

No problem - happy to share! I'll be active at the DL forums later on as I'm much more likely to have the $$$ to go there in the next couple of years ;)

Happy to have inspired you! If you want you can use my LGMHs :D

It was wet but mostly warm ...at least for us Oregonians ;) I'm happy to hear the weather was so nice for your 2000 visit, it must have been cool going there as a kid. I went there when I was 7 and had a great time! What a wonderful wish ...more little ones to experience the magic :wizard:

The trials and tribulations of going w/ a large group.

Very true! But it keep things from getting boring ;)

RDPE is rec.arts.disney.parks. It's another message board community. Never been over there, but I hear it's pretty popular and quite established. Others know much more about it than I.

It is amazing how many boards there are out there! When I first started out I subscribed to six different ones, but eventually worked my way down to this one :D It just worked better for me than the others, both the design and the interaction with other Disney fans.

I used to look at this other site much more than this one, but after going on the DCL in Dec 05 and meeting some friends for life from the DIS, I pretty much post only here.

Then I found the PTR/TR forums...and well....the rest is history....:rolleyes1

Well today we went out to The Bear Hotel, a warehouse/artist workshop/meeting place for a community-based group that is into promoting art and history in our city. It happens to be located right next to DW's work, so DD's and I have been lucky enough to have a couple of private tours by the place's main benefactor.

I took my camera and took a bunch of pics before I realized I had forgotten to put my memory card back in after dl'ing some pictures the other day. I put in my other card and did get a few pics :D

Here's DD8 with Santa and Mrs. Claus

And here's DD11 just after 'fishing for candycanes'

And lastly a funky monkey and the big bear who they say arranged the festivities

It was a good time ...but I'm with ya, the food afterwards was my high point. Elmer's is a great place with good portions of great 'home cookin' and really good service. If you're ever in the northwest I highly recommend going there :thumbsup2

Just checking in!!!!!:goodvibes
