"I'm NOT a Princess, I'm Izzy!" - May '15 Land/Sea ~ Updated 6/4: Link to Disneyland TR!!!

Guess what?! This is my 5000th post on the DIS! :faint:

Congrats on reaching the 5K threshold! Next up... 10K!

Cannot believe that, but it has been like 7 years and lots of Trip Reports (which is where the vast majority of my posts are).

Me too. Pretty much all my posts these days are on TRs.

Besides, probably nobody is reading this tonight anyway with the election coverage...

What? There's another election?
What? Did Trump get impeached already?

 Okay, just kidding.

Love that one.

This one reminds me of this:

article-2427837-1821204A00000578-374_634x414.jpg

I've always wondered how that ended.
Hopefully okay.

Wait!! Wait for meeee!!!!!!

Seriously, great photos! Thanks for sharing! :)

Hi Duggette, I'm all caught up with your TR. I look some time off from the Dis, so I am slowly getting caught up with different TRS. I loved all the character photos from the Dream. The outfits they put on the characters for the cruises are adorable. I also loved hearing and seeing food pictures from Palo. The dinner and brunch look and sound fantastic! The Animator's Pallette also looks great. Glad you were able to see 2 shows while on the cruise, those always sound great!
I love the family photos, they look great! Also congrats on your 5000th post!

Looking forward to reading more of the TR, especially since you have more fun to come in WDW!!!

Happy 5,000!! And WHAT cute pictures! Izzy's is such a big girl now-- I think the first post of your I read was from your year of trips before she was even a twinkle in your eye!

Thanks!

Yeah, quite the "rush hour". :duck:

Animators palate looks really neat - just such a unique concept and something very "Disney"
It was really neat - definitely my favorite dining room on the Dream. So fun!

add in the chocolate and ice cream to the butter and milk and Izzy definitely got her dairy portion for the day in:thumbsup2
She will probably never be calcium deficient. :rotfl:

I was sad to see when they stopped doing the "drop something off to get the signatures on" thing - but I guess it got too popular (one of those "secret" things that go out). Very nice of you to think of Lauren!
I'm so glad we got in on it while they still did it. Funny story - Izzy had to bring in some items from home to show off at preschool the other day, so one of the things I sent her with was the pillowcase - it finally got to come out of the ziplock bag! One of her teachers is a huge WDW fan and was SO jealous, saying she wanted one - so, Izzy told her she needed to go on a cruise on Mickey's boat. :thumbsup2

Glad you all enjoyed the show! Definitely looking forward to the shows when we go (and obviously the kids are excited one show will now be Frozen).
I'm sure a Frozen show will be extra cool. :duck:

Bit of a bummer to have to head out so early - but guess it makes sense to try and miss the crowd a bit and does seem like a relaxing breakfast ... well, other then when Izzy was playing with knifes ;)
Yeah, you have to get off early no matter where your breakfast, as they need to turn around the ship quickly to board the new group later that same day. I'm glad we did the Cabanas breakfast at our own pace.

Seems like you did pretty good in getting the car and back all things considered - though I am sure if felt long for Dug to just be sitting and waiting
Yep, I know it felt LONG to him, but I guess it could have been much worse. We were just ready to get back to WDW, though!

judging by the :rolleyes1 I am going to assume at the very least you weren't on time for your Liberty Tree ADR ;)
::yes::

LOL my photo frame thing we had done on the cruise also never got framed and hung up :( BUT Maya did wear the onesie and it is waiting for Baby #3 to enjoy!
So hard to figure out what to do with these souvenirs! Glad the onesie got some use, though. :goodvibes

This was SUCH an amazing surprise. Seriously! Considering our families did ZIP for Maya, having you send that super personal gift was just so touching <3
Aw, I'm sad family didn't do anything. :sad1: Good thing Disney had a two item allotment and I only needed one myself. :rotfl: So glad you loved it. :lovestruc

It's just perfect!!
Can't believe there will soon be another little one who can wear it!

Love these shows!! Glad Izzy had a great time
I think she'd enjoy them even more now, but she did pretty great for a 2.5 year old. :thumbsup2

So I had NO IDEA that you could return them! I think we paid $25 for Aria's kid's club band...
I think I only knew due to the DIS. I'm not sure they ever mentioned the return policy.

Really cute!
It was and she loved the thing.

Phew what a morning!! Glad you made it on the shuttle. I'm happy we did things the way we did, since we wanted to get off and out to the Keys ASAP, so we had a rental car just parked during our cruise, but it must be different coming from WDW where you don't necessary need a car (although you know I always have one lol).
Yep, I looked into parking the car there and renting for a week, but it just made no sense in this situation. We literally paid about $30 each way for the car, so there was no way to justify paying so much for parking and so much more for a weekly rental for it to just sit in the lot. But your situation makes much more sense, since you needed it for a longer part of the non-cruise trip too.

New commenter joining in very late to the party. We are planning our first cruise and WDW trip since having our daughter and looking for all of the information we can get. I appreciate the details on how you dealt with all of the baby gear and logistics!
:welcome: Thanks for joining in, sorry it took me so long to respond. Hope you have a great trip with your DD! It's so much fun. Lots of work with a little one, but great memories. :goodvibes

Hi to those of you still out there! :wave2: Sorry for the slow pace of this trip report, but if you're still around 1.5 years after the trip took place, I guess you're used to it. :rotfl: I started to work on replies tonight, but I am wiped out and need to get some sleep for a long day of work tomorrow. However, I will have some new updates coming and I'm excited to get this thing back in gear. I actually wrote THREE updates tonight (in Word), but don't have the energy to edit and post them right now. So, be expecting some updates over the holiday weekend. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving (or a decent week to the non-US readers :goodvibes ). I'm very much looking forward to the 4 day weekend. AND, two weeks from tomorrow, we leave for WDW! :hyper:

She and DD have sooooo much in common it's scary.
:rotfl: Today was Thanksgiving and that meant there was butter on the table! It became a topic of discussion when everyone saw how much she loved butter.

:rotfl: She knows a good thing when she sees it!
::yes::

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Wow... she sure did go all in on those desserts!
It always amazes me when I find food in her eyebrows, etc. :confused3

That's a great idea for a baby gift! Too bad they don't do autographs like that anymore.
It is too bad they discontinued it - it was a very nice cruise bonus vs. the parks.

::yes:: As long as you sleep.
:thumbsup2

She looks way too happy...
I'm sure she was, since she got to stay on the boat and all.

She makes a great Rey! I like the picture!
Thanks!

:lmao: "Yeshhh... I'm.. uh... I... am... hee... heee.... here!... to pickup... pick........up.... my dau... my do.... my daaa.... my kid."
:rotfl: Pretty much!

Cool kid with the tats.
That's what she thought.

Can never have enough butter.
Very true - happened again today with Thanksgiving dinner. Though she did eat the bun after having it re-buttered once.

Yep!

Cute pic of you guys!
Thanks!

I was going to make a dairy comment, but...
... you beat me to it.
::yes::

Or it was soup. Or we spilled something in this dish.
That was my thought process...it didn't look like any of the soups on the menu, though. :confused3

Nice. I like it.
Me too.

:rotfl2: I'm pretty sure she would be thrilled if someone just gave her a stick of butter for dinner.

That's so cool! Didn't realize they were interactive, too!
It was really a neat dining room experience.

That's what they're for.
If you don't sprinkle them on the seat and floor, you'll put someone out of work.
:rotfl:

That's good. I can't imagine how much of a pain it would be if your tablemates were stick in the mud types.
I was a bit nervous about what they'd be like, but most reports seemed to indicate Disney does a good job of matching people up, so glad it worked out well that way. They were very friendly and understood what it was like traveling with a young kid. :goodvibes

Pretty creative.
Always fun to see what they come up with.

"Oh. Here's a pillow case for you."
"Mom! Why have you been hiding this all these years!!!"
I actually pulled it out and had her bring it to a show and tell type thing at preschool the other day! Yay, it got some use! :cheer2: And, one of her teachers is a huge Disney fan and was very jealous.

Smart. I probably wouldn't have thought of not having the princesses sign it.
I think they gave that as a choice, not just something I thought up.

OMG! What kind of a parent are you!?!?
:earseek: :rotfl:

 I want one of those birds.
Heck with that... I want a flock.
ME TOO!!!

Sure. Makes total sense.
To her it seems to. :confused3

Nice! Always love those.
Very nice.

Niiiiiiice.
The best! :thumbsup2

::yes:: I get that.
:cloud9:

You look pretty happy for 7am... on departure day no less.
Well, we were on our way back to Disney World. :flower1:

You really are a bad parent! You're... you're a monster!!
:rotfl2:

Heavenly.

Ahem.

One can never not be in the mood for Froot Loops.
You'd be surprised. I went through a pretty lean period in my early 20's where I basically only ate macaroni, green beans, and Froot Loops - so, I did get burned out on them eventually. But I've bounced back...and the kind with marshmallows are super good, mmmmmm.

Where's the butter?
Ha, good question! I guess if they don't put it on the table, she doesn't even think of it. And we never ever have butter on the table at home, so it's a novelty to her when she sees it sitting out.

So let's see.
So far we have
1. Unattended child ready for kidnapping.
2. Playing with knives
and now 3. Teetering on the precipice of disaster.

Here's your Mom of the Year award.

(ps. you know I'm kidding, right?)
I know. :lmao:

Awwwww... so sad!

"Yeah, take that hand and stick it right up your....."
:rotfl2:

First a bad parent and now a smuggler?
Where will your depravity end?!?!?
:rolleyes1

It was!

Of course not. She's too cool for that.
:cool2:

Nice call. Wouldn't have occurred to me.
I wasn't about to waste any time getting a car.

Huh. That's odd, isn't it?
It was, which is why I noticed.

I'll have to try and remember that.
I think different rental companies offer different things, but this one was great for our situation!

Me neither.
Yep, we're not big on STUFF (though Izzy might beg to differ, since she wants all.the.toys).

 That's great!
:thumbsup2

He did a good job, too!
::yes::

The cutest Rey ever! Izzy was adorable!
Thank you! It worked out well and she was very happy with it.

I felt like your cruise portion of the trip flew by. The Animator's Palate on the newer ships looks awesome. I can only imagine how amused Izzy was to have Crush posing for photos right next to her.
Well, the cruise itself flew by too. Yes, Crush interaction was pretty awesome!

Loved the report. Izzy would fit right in with DS and I concerning butter. DS will sometimes eat it straight off a fork. I don't know where he learned to do that:rolleyes1
:rotfl: That's awesome and makes me feel better. She was all over the butter today at Thanksgiving. We convinced her to try various things by telling her they were "covered in butter". ;)

I remember thinking the same thing after our Mixology class. We actually ate at Remy that night and got the wine flight. I remember thinking I now I know how people just fall off the ship. We were walking around after dinner, and I kept steering clear of any railings:rotfl2:
Oh, wow, the wine flight! :earseek: :lmao: Glad you survived!

That picture from Halloween is awesome!
Thank you! :goodvibes

How awesome! 5000 posts! Izzy looks so grown up in those photos. Where does the time go.
Thanks! Yeah, it's amazing how fast the time starts going by when you have a kid.

Happy 5,000th post! That's awesome.
I'm so glad you started writing trip reports; it's been such fun watching Izzy grow up and experience her Disney trips with you guys via the DIS.
Thanks - it's been so fun sharing with everyone! :goodvibes

Beautiful pics, can't wait to see how big Izzy has gotten!!
Thanks, you'll see in two weeks! :cool1:

Lovely photos!
Thank you!

Your family pictures are fantastic! Izzy is getting so big!
Thanks! Yep, she's a big girl - 40 3/8 inches at her last doctor appt. - time for the big rides! :thumbsup2

What a great family photo shoot! And I love Izzy's Halloween costume!
Thank you! She was pretty happy with that costume!

OH my gosh, those are so cute!
Thank you!

Beautiful family pictures! It's been so fun to see Izzy grow!
Thanks so much!

Love the pics. Especially Izzy in the red chair. But all the pics show real personality and happiness
Thanks, I think she did a really good job of capturing personality and fun moments. :thumbsup2

Great pictures - I especially like the one with Izzy throwing the leaves and you and Dug in the flab know slightly out of focus and the one with Dug and Izzy in the chair :)
Thanks. I thought that leaf tossing one was really cute too. Our photographer had some great ideas for photo poses, etc.

Congrats on reaching the 5K threshold! Next up... 10K!
Thanks! You are not far off from 15k! :faint:

Me too. Pretty much all my posts these days are on TRs.
I seldom venture elsewhere and, when I do, I rarely pipe up.

What? There's another election?
What? Did Trump get impeached already?

 Okay, just kidding.
:headache:

Love that one.
Thanks!

I've always wondered how that ended.
Hopefully okay.
That picture is amazing! :earseek: I had to look at it for a good, long time. Hope it ended safely.

Wait!! Wait for meeee!!!!!!
:rotfl:

Seriously, great photos! Thanks for sharing! :)
Thanks!

Hi Duggette, I'm all caught up with your TR. I look some time off from the Dis, so I am slowly getting caught up with different TRS.
You've done an amazing job of catching up on all the TRs! :worship: Meanwhile, I'm still pathetically behind...:sad2:

I loved all the character photos from the Dream. The outfits they put on the characters for the cruises are adorable. I also loved hearing and seeing food pictures from Palo. The dinner and brunch look and sound fantastic! The Animator's Pallette also looks great. Glad you were able to see 2 shows while on the cruise, those always sound great!
Yes, the unique character outfits are so fun to see. And the food and entertainment were all great. Really loved Palo!

I love the family photos, they look great! Also congrats on your 5000th post!
Thanks so much!

Looking forward to reading more of the TR, especially since you have more fun to come in WDW!!!
Thanks! Yes, despite this report having gone on forever, there is still a TON of fun stuff to cover!

Congratulations on your 5000th post, and great family pictures!
Thank you very much!

Happy 5,000!! And WHAT cute pictures! Izzy's is such a big girl now-- I think the first post of your I read was from your year of trips before she was even a twinkle in your eye!
Oh, wow, our Year of Disney in 2010! Funny how time flies by. And strange to think of life before she was here.

:o

Standing by!
:thumbsup2

How is this possible?!?!?
Can't believe it's almost time! :cool1:

Izzy Finally Sees the Castle

We left off during our drive back to WDW from the cruise. We knew it would be tight to make it to our 12:10pm ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern, as it was 11:30am when we got to this point:

And we still needed to swing over to the Boardwalk Villas to leave our luggage and groceries with Bell Services. I think we also made a pit stop at their restrooms, then hopped back into our rental car and made our way here:

It was so different to drive and park instead of taking Disney transportation. Since we had the rental car until the next day (same rate for 24 hours as for 2), it made sense to take advantage of it. I had to note where we parked at the TTC so we could find the car later:

At 12:05pm, we were making that walk across the TTC parking lot while Dug made a call to try to push our LTT ADR back a bit. Naturally, we JUST missed the tram, so I figured I should at least take a selfie of it going by:

(I could have maybe made it on, but Dug was pushing Izzy in the stroller and they were behind me a bit). So, we just kept on walking:

And made it to the TTC:

When Dug called, they basically just told him to show up to LTT when we get there and it would be fine. It still made me antsy, though. :scared:

We were on the monorail at 12:35pm and Izzy wanted to stand and hold the bar with me:

And, finally, we arrived at the Magic Kingdom:

Despite the sign that says “Coolest Summer Ever” in that last picture, it was blazing hot midday sun as we passed through the gates. :sunny: We stopped near the entrance and re-applied sunscreen for the afternoon. Oh, and I may have forgotten to mention an interesting tidbit about this day at the MK:

Yeah, it was the 24 Hour Day. Started at 6am this day and the MK would be open until 6am the next day. We’d only be spending the afternoon here as a family, but I had plans to head back solo much later that night.

We noticed Pluto was out meeting as we entered, but we didn’t have time to stop for him:

I know it was forever ago in this TR, but you may remember that we had planned to have some MK time before the cruise and Izzy threw a major tantrum that evening and ended up staying in with Dug (while I went solo to the MK and hung out with @Tracy161 ). So, despite several park days pre-cruise, this was Izzy’s first time in the Magic Kingdom since she was 23 months old. :hyper: We knew that we were already fairly late to LTT, so we just took our time a bit to let her soak in her first glimpse of the castle this trip:

I’d say she and Birdie were suitably impressed. :thumbsup2

We also saw some Main Street entertainment going on:

I picked Izzy up for the rest of our walk down Main Street. And I have a video clip as she checked out the castle:

(click to watch)

Ahhhhh :cloud9: :

Since we were there, we went ahead and did our “walking to the castle” shots (idea stolen from @Imagineer5 ):

We finally arrived at our lunch destination:

It was 1pm, so we were 50 minutes late. :headache: They had no problem with our late check-in and just had us wait in the lobby for a table. I think we used our phones to push back/change our Fast Pass selections, but I can’t remember the details. There was free ice water available for our wait, but Izzy was very thirsty and begging for milk. I think I asked the hostess if there was any available and they were kind enough to bring her a glass of milk:

I have a note that Izzy spilled a glass of ice water on the floor. Can’t say I remember much, as spilled drinks were so common at that age. :confused3

We were soon seated:

Our surroundings:

We started with the Tavern Fried Cheese:

I was thinking this was going to be more than just cheese sticks, but maybe I mis-remembered what I'd seen? It was good anyway.

Looks like Izzy was unhappy about something:

I got this yummy salad:

Izzy (no surprise) got mac and cheese:

Dug got some sort of sandwich:

And we had big cups of ice water to drink:

Izzy discovered that the ice cubes were the round ones that you can wear on your finger and she loved that:

Not one for table manners:

Hey, whatever keeps her happy so we can eat. :thumbsup2

Izzy’s meal was supposed to come with an ice cream sundae, but they never brought it out. Maybe it’s just me, but I seem to have this experience everywhere (not just Disney) that the kids meal comes with dessert – they almost never actually bring it until I very specifically ask for them to – even though it’s included in the meal. At any rate, by the time we determined it wasn’t coming, we didn’t have time to stick around for it because the service had been slow and we had FP+ to get to. They did, however, remove it from our bill when we asked, so that was nice.

And it’s not like Izzy didn’t get ice cream, as we all got to share the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake we ordered. So good it gets two pictures:

Up next: Time to see how that FP+ grace period works! :rolleyes1

Hot Seats for Festival of Fantasy

I had a FP+ for Big Thunder, so we all made our way over there for me to ride and to get a Rider Swap for Dug. (I am SOOOOOO excited that in about 2 weeks, Izzy will be riding this WITH us! :hyper: ) I got into the FP+ return line at 2:25pm and there was a short wait, so it was actually AFTER the 15 minute grace period by the time I got up to the point where you scan your band. They still let me through, no problem, and I was on fairly quickly:

As usual, it was a great ride. And, unlike earlier in the trip, I didn’t forget anything in the pocket this time! :thumbsup2

While I rode, Dug took Izzy to the Baby Care Center, probably for a diaper change or something:

We had Fast Passes for the Festival of Fantasy parade next, so we found ourselves waiting curbside in our designated area around 3pm:

It was still blazing hot outside and the area had no shade, so the ground was BURNING hot. :earseek: I tried to sit, but it was too hot through my shorts to tolerate. And, of course, Izzy wanted to sit on me, as I am a handy chair and not scalding like the concrete. So, I had to brainstorm what we had in our stroller to sit on…and that’s when I spotted our little diaper changing kit with fold-out changing pad! And it worked perfectly…so thick and cushion-y that I could sit comfortably with Izzy on my lap. :thumbsup2 You can see part of it here in this picture Dug took during the parade:

Happy to be sitting as we waited for the parade to start:

Dug stood in back, leaning against the fence, as you may have noticed.

And, soon enough, they took down the rope and posts around our section and it was time:

You can see in that picture that there were a lot of sunbrellas. :umbrella:

I’m sure these kids are celebrities of some sort, but I have no clue :confused3:

That gal in the pink in the background of the last shot sure looks star struck. :rotfl:

More possibly important people:

I think that last gal in the fire truck was taking a parade selfie? :rotfl:

And then things got more colorful:

This is a great parade, very mesmerizing:

We loved the parade and we are not really “parade people” – it’s just very well done. Izzy got some good practice waving at the characters and really enjoyed herself.

Up next: Honing the animal talent.

Wrapped Up in Pixie Dust

After the parade, given where we were, Dug had the smart idea to rush across the street to Talking Mickey before the line formed. However, my leg had fallen completely asleep during the parade (kid sitting on you will do that) and I couldn’t keep up with him. :sad2: And, of course, Izzy was begging me to carry her over there. By the time I managed to hobble through the crowd with a 2-year-old, the line was already up to 15-20 minutes. :headache: However, Tinkerbell’s line was still very short, so we headed for Pixie Hollow instead to get shrunk down to fairy size:

By the way, as we were walking through the empty queue/rope area, a mom and her daughter ducked under a rope to cut in front of us. Dug made some sort of comment about it to me (which they heard) and they decided to get back behind us. Yay, I guess pixie dust was in the air. pixiedust: They got sent the other way when we got up to the CM and we were the last family to get in on our group. We were right behind a lady that was having a great time helping her Duffy meet the characters:

She seemed like fun – Disney was definitely bringing out the kid in her. :goodvibes

Then it was Izzy’s turn to visit with this great Tink:

(making elephant sounds)

She talked to Izzy about being an “animal talent” and teaching Birdie everything he/she needs to know (like flying). I think most of it was lost of Izzy, but she was having a fun time with Tink. Some video of the meet:

(click to watch)

And, finally, the Photopass shots:

Great meet with Tink! :tink:

At that point, we were still feeling super thirsty, so we ducked into the shops for some A/C and to find some cold drinks. I guess we were in the candy store and Izzy spotted snacks bigger than her head :earseek: :

This CM was nice enough to help show it off to her:

We just looked, didn’t get one. Dug and I got some pop and we found Izzy a jug of milk over at Starbucks. We sat at a table in the quiet nook off Main Street and enjoyed our cold drinks in peace:

I guess Izzy even stopped to smell the flowers :flower: :

This picture just makes me giggle between our important-looking chat, Birdie observing us, and the “Superstar” Diet Coke:

After our nice break, we headed back over this way:

I’d been texting with @Tracy161 about meeting up again so that she and Izzy and Dug could meet since we’d hung out solo before. She said she’d wait for us over by Peter Pan, where we had our next FP+ (she’d just ridden). Once again, she was a delight to chat with and even bonded with Izzy and Birdie. :goodvibes So cute. Soon, we had to go use our FP+, so we went our separate ways. So glad I got to meet her, even if she doesn’t seem to be on the DIS anymore these days. :sad1:

We rode Peter Pan at 5:09pm and were in line for It’s a Small World at 5:15pm, as you can confirm on this clock:

Made it into our boat about 8 minutes later:

Izzy had a good time, as usual.

On our way out to dinner at a resort, we ran across the Move It, Shake It parade:

It was the “newer” version and not as catchy as I remembered. But still nice to see the characters as we headed out.

Also, at some point this afternoon, we apparently got some Photopass pictures in front of the castle too, so here you go:

(Looks like she has the milk jug, so must be after snack break).

They also did some magic Olaf shots, I guess:

And even a little video clip one:

(click to watch)

We made our way out of the park around 6pm.

Up next: A new-to-us (and probably to most DIS-ers) character meal!

Glad it wasn't a big deal to be late for your lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. Did the dessert make it all worth while? Seems like I hear mixed things about that meal in general, but overall very positive things on the dessert so trying to figure out if it is worth it to try it or not

That's definitely exciting that Izzy will be able to ride BTMRR - I know with Peter I definitely felt the need to hold him in with my arm as he is so much smaller than me so when the lap bar hit me it was still like a foot away from him and he felt pretty not safe

I think the biggest drawback to the Magic Kingdom is the lack of shade (stupid utilidoors preventing the growing of trees) and it really shows when waiting for a parade - even when you get reserved seating ... glad you enjoyed the parade though

That is a cute picture of you talking very serious like with Izzy and having the Superstar Diet Coke with you

I’m sure these kids are celebrities of some sort, but I have no clue :confused3:
Hello, it's been a while since I commented on your report (oops, bad Dis-er). But when I saw those parade pictures I just had to drop in and say "holy sweet mother of Disney channel stars!" Now, as a father of a tween girl (is that what they call 9 year olds these days?) I know all too well who those kids in the cars were, since the movies/TV shows are pretty much on repeat play in our house. My daughter would have lost her mind at that parade. Perhaps in 5 years or so you'll know who they are too. Just in case you're curious (and since Izzy might watch the movies one day when she's older, so you can tell her you saw them in a parade), the stars are (in order of your pictures): Teen Beach Movie, Bunk'd, and Descendants. :)

I only recognized Callie from The Fosters!

Glad to see there wasn't an issue checking in late to LTT. And I have to agree with you about the kid's dessert. It rarely does come out. However, I won't lie, I kind of like that, because most times Landon doesn't eat his meals and we don't like to let him have a treat when he does that. Of course, since moving to Germany that has gone out the window, because Germans love kids and the minute they walk into a restaurant they are handed gummy candies. One time, Landon even got a piece of strawberry cheesecake just for showing up with Alex to pick up our dinner order...
That being said, though, I'm sure glad they took the ice cream off the bill. That was only fair.

No matter how many times I see it, I always enjoy seeing photos of FoF parade. And good thinking with the changing pad. Having kids and all their essentials comes in handy at times.

The Tinkerbell photos are adorable. It's fun seeing pictures of Izzy so young. She seems so grown up now! (And I guess she is...about to ride BTMRR and all.)

What an amazing morning-- from a ship to the castle in just a few hours!! She looks so happy meeting Tink. And LTT!!!! My favorite dessert in all the world (Disney and beyond!) Yummmmmm. I can't wait to hear what your next character meal is.

Yeah, it was the 24 Hour Day. Started at 6am this day and the MK would be open until 6am the next day. We’d only be spending the afternoon here as a family, but I had plans to head back solo much later that night.
Ooh thats exciting! Looking forward to hearing about your solo time in MK!:cool1:
We were on the monorail at 12:35pm and Izzy wanted to stand and hold the bar with me:

So cute! I also love her shirt! Did you have that made special?

Aw! What a perfect reaction to the castle. Very magical :wizard:
This is a great parade, very mesmerizing:

I have that same look when I watch the parade!:goodvibes:thumbsup2 I love it so much!
I love meeting Think - she's always a blast!

I've noticed the same thing about kids' desserts that are included with meals. Seems to be more optional than guaranteed. Not specifically something I've noticed at Disney though.

I'm glad that you managed to make your ADR and all your FP's. I'm sure even if they'd given you a hard time about being late to BTMRR, you could show them the receipt from LTT and they'd be ok with it... at least that's what I've heard.

That really doesn't seem to be a well thought out FP+ for the parade. I mean if I'm going to use a FP+ to see it, I'd kind of like it to be a location that is a tolerable viewing experience. I mean, yeah, I guess your location is pretty great, but not having shade in Florida in the summer is kind of a deal breaker for me.
