This Oct we will be staying on site for the first time and we hope to park our car at our resort (All Star Movies) and be shuttled around for 4 days.......but, is there only one shuttle leaving that resort or do they arrive continuously to pick you up...or what is the deal? I dont want to wait 10-20 mintues for the next shuttle to come by with a 2 and 4 yr old! And, when leavinga a park, how do I find the shuttle to my resort? And, is there usually a long wait to go back? Is it more realistic to think we'll be happier using our own transportation? We are only 7 hours drive from WDW and will be driving down...I was just hoping to let someone else take me where I want to go while on site!

CAn anyone tell me what to expect?
Thank you in advance!

There are always buses going to each resort. They do come often but a 10-20 minute way is not uncommon during parts of the day. If you are leaving a park at closing you may wait longer than that for a bus.

There is a certain area at each park when the bus will drop off/pick up.

I would recommend taking the bus to MK since it drops you closer to the entrance than parking your car, taking the tram, then taking the monorail or ferry to MK.

Personally I like driving to the parks. It allows us to follow our own schedule. Parking is free for resort guests and the roads are well marked to get you back to your resort.

Well, thank you for your input. I guess we'll all have to talkk abouot which option we prefer. Also, I don't want to take advantage of the extra evening hours for resort guests and not be able to find a bus back! Is this even possible? I've heard it can happen..yikes!

I tend to prefer driving to the parks but, I'll never drive to MK. As for the EMH, they will run busses later to coincide with EMH. You will not be stranded.... Well, unless you are REALLY a straggler.
