im new to dis, how do i. . .

1. how do i get a picture under my name?

Ok, these are very common questions, and are fairly easy.

1) The picture under your name is an avatar. You can change your avatar by clicking "User CP" on the blue bar. Then, click "Edit Avatar". There is a selection of some, and others can be found on the internet.

2 and 3) You click on "User CP" again, and then select "Edit Signature". The words, pictures, and etc. are all part of your signature. To put pictures in, find a picture you like, right-click it, save it to your desktop, and then go to a website like www.imageshack.us or www.tinypic.com. Copy the URL you receive by uploading it, and paste it into your signature. You can see what your signature looks like by clicking the "Preview Signature" button.

but how do i get a custom avatar? i actually want to use my vmk character as an avatar how do i do that too? or get my vmk character under my posts?

This one is a little harder...

First, take a screen shot of your character. You do that by pressing the "Print Screen"/"PrntScrn" button. If your on a laptop, it might be blue, if it is, hold down the "Fn" then press it. Make sure your character is visible when you do this. Next, open Paint, or something like it, and go to "Edit" and click "Paste". You'll have to crop the picture and then save it in a place where you'll remember it. Go to User CP and go to the bottom of the "Edit Avatar" page and and you should see something like "Upload an avatar from your computer". Click "Browse" and choose the cropped picture. Click upload and it should work. Make sure it is 100x100 or less and 3.9 KB or less.
