I'll take any tips I can get! We're planning our very first trip to Disney World for later this year. DD will be just over a year old when we go. I would appreciate any tips/advice you can give. We will be staying at the Wildness Lodge and we are getting the Dining Plan. Any other ideas on what to do or how to prepare? TIA!

If you don't want to take your toddler on a ride such as Dumbo or the Carousel, try Pooh's Playful Spot in FantasyLand if he/she is walking. I haven't been there yet but I think it would be fun for a baby to explore. If your baby isn't walking yet, you might just try walking around looking at characters or watch a show like Playhouse Disney at MGM.

I'm sure you will all have a wonderful time because there is so much to see!

DD loved just walking around in the lobby of the Lodge. There's a great Totem pole of the characters and she would walk up to it and give it a hug (great pictures). There's a nice play area near the beach for play time and there's a quiet pool over by the Villas if the theme pool is too active with the baby.

Keep Swim diapers in your bag at all times. There are several fountain areas throughout the parks where little ones like to run through the sprinkles. Always a big hit with the newly walking!

If you schedule more than one character meal try to space them out over the vacation for best results. DD wasn't too keen on the characters getting too close at first, but by the end of the week she was happy to pose for pictures. It just took some getting used to.

You'll have a fabulous time, it's such an adorable age!

My tips well forget about going back to hotel for a nap...by the time you get there that baby will be sleeping.

We took my daughter for her first trip when she was 14 months. She rode lots of rides/attractions that had no height restrictions (I just held her on my lap or she sat snug on the seat between me and DH). Because it's such an adorable age, she got TONS of attention from characters and cast members....have your video camera ready! Have a great time!

Babies can go on any ride without height restrictions except the indy speedway. You have tpo be 1 year old to ride that.
