We booked last week and received all the information to plan accordingly this week. Thing is, I don't even know where to begin! We selected the MYW Premium Package for 7 days and are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, conceirge level in the honeymoon suite.

Does anyone have ideas on where to begin?

:welcome: Congratulations and welcome!
Anything in particular you want to know about? Is this your first trip to WDW?
Everyone here is very nice and SUPER helpful....you've come to the right place! :thumbsup2

congrats and welcome!:cheer2:

i honeymooned at WDW this past january and had a BLAST! just to let you know, the premium package is A LOT of food. do you plan on using all the extras it comes with liek boat rentals, etc etc?

How wonderful! You'll have a great time - my then boyfriend, now fiance surprised me at the end of one of our trips by booking us in a honeymoon room on the concierge level at the Wilderness Lodge - great snacks and wonderful atmosphere.

Be sure to go to Victoria and Alberts - heck, go twice! It's really worth it. Definately book a fireworks cruise, and do a tour or two (my sister and I really enjoyed our tour at the Animal Kingdom, and hope to do Dolphins in Depth one day!)

They'll take very good care of you at the Lodge, enjoy yourself!

I really dont know about where to begin in booking a Disneymoon sorry I cant help.. But we would love to hear all your plans... CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME

We pretty much got it to use the extras (water sports!), and not have to worry about food. He proposed at Disneyland in front of sleeping beauty's castle, so we thought that Disney World would be appropriate for the honeymoon.

I am just ridiculously overwhelmed. We want to be spontaneous but at the same time, there needs to be structure because we'll have reservations and stuff.

I guess my first question is.. how do we get around from the Wilderness Lodge to everywhere else, and how long does that take?

id love to hear the answers to all of these questions. I too just got engaged at sleeping beauty's castle and we want to do the same thing. Honeymoon suite at WL I would love any tips or info you guys have also.

First of all, from one Disney Princess Bride to another, congrats on becoming a true DISNEY PRINCESS! I, too, got engaged at a Disney Park (Magic Kingdom)!! And WDW is the BEST place to have a honeymoon! You're on the right track staying at WL (and if these abbreviations don't confuse you, right on!):thumbsup2

You should definitely check out the "Disney Resorts" thread on here, or search for "Wilderness Lodge FAQ." Also, allears.net has some good info.

We're in the same boat, wanting our honeymoon to be spontaneous and yet you absolutely NEED structure when you go to WDW, especially when it comes to dining. Do some research on the different restaurants (but not on here, everyone will confuse you to death with their opinions!) and book your reservations ASAP! Also, check out the calendar on disneyworld.com and decide what shows you want to see. Plan your trip around the shows and restaurants, and try not to worry about everything else!

Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom can all be reached by bus from WL. To get to Magic Kingdom, I highly recommend the boat! You'll find out this stuff soon enough. Don't worry, Disney takes care of everything. All you have to do is get there!!

How exciting! I take it this is your first time??? When will you be there???

We will be honeymooning in Disney too! I can't wait. We made our reservations for our resort already, we still have to make reservations for whatever restaurants we want to go to, and I am also going to call about some spa stuff. We are also calling soon to make reservations for Discovery Cove. Good luck planning!

well thats fun. trust me, you will have a ton of food! we stayed concierge at teh GF and had the regular dining plan and THAT itself was tons of food, so you will definately be covered there!
i am huge on structure ansd planning so i understand that

you will have to take disney busses to all the theme parks except the MK, you can also take the boat to get there. the Mk is obviously closest, and AK is teh farthest, but none of them are "far" away IMO. about 15-20 minutes roughly give or take a few minutes.
