We had planned to stay offsite and purchase express passes. Our offsite condo was 2 bdrm and 1200 sq ft. I decided to purchase my express passes in advance. When I pulled up prices today they had gone from $15 to $35! Since we have 4 people, I figured it would be cheaper to stay onsite now. I booked RP, but the room is only 335 sq ft. Has anyone stayed here? Did you feel like you were packed in like sardines in the room? I'm really nervous now. I have 2 boys, 10 and 5 and am afraid I'll go nuts with them in the room at night!!! Are there lots of things for little guys to do in the hotel? Sorry this post is so long. Can anyone say something to convince me I made the right decision? Thanks!

I am worried about it too. I am putting 5 in an RPR room and 3 are adolescent boys! But the way I figure it is...there is so much to do , pool is open late, the grounds are lovely, there is a wonderful workout room, lobby areas etc. I really dont think we will be in the room except to sleep. I simply will INSIST the boys go play video games if I have to! :rotfl2:

There is an arcade/game room in the RPR. We love it there, but there are only two of us in the room.

When are you going to be there? Maybe we can leave all those boys in the room and meet in the bar! :rotfl: Hopefully, it won't be as bad as we think! We'll be there in two weeks. I'll let you know how it goes.

It's really not a problem. You won't be in the room that much.

You'll be in the parks, the kids will be swimming like fishes in the pool, and there are the parks. Here's my page to see what it looks like.

As you can see, there is a table with 2 chairs and an extra chair next to the bed. So people can lay on the beds, and someone can sit in a chair.

We stay @ RPR on all our trips. DD always has a friend and we have never had any crowding problems.

loved the phots Robvia!!! REALLY excited about staying here now !!!! dont think 2 nights is going to be enough !

I am staying with a seventeen year old boy and two teenaged girls..(my daughter and her BFF) I think we will be okay, we will only be mainly sleeping in our hotel room.

Will I possibly get an upgrade when I check in since I am a Lowe's first member? And, does that mean a larger room?

First of all thats picture is precious! I tried like heck to get my dog to wear the bunny ears and he just wasnt having it! Very adorable and what kind of dog is he/she?

OK onto Universal. There will be 4 in a room right? How did you book the room? AAA would be good for upgrading. APH not so good but stranger things have happened. When will you be there? Maybe a possibility of a King Suite and again depending on your loews first status maybe more than a chance. What are you booked into now?

We stayed in a standard room at RPH with 5, and we had no problems with room. We didn't use their rollaway, but brought our own small air mattress. I think the rollaway would take up a lot of room.

Don't be worried! RPH is a beautiful place! I think you will be happy there. There is a game room. There are also organized pool activities for the kids.

I wonder about the upgrade too as we are Loews First members. Thanks everyone for your replies. I am feeling about about our stay. Can't wait to get there! :yay:

My pug Winston Lemony Snicket is in the picture with his 'mom', my daughter. He was dumped on Thanksgiving day out in the snow in the middle of nowhere. I had him foster care for a bit, but my daughter just had to keep him! He provides LOTS of entertainment on a daily basis!

We are in a standard room (says it sleeps five) We got it on the Lowe's site with AAA. But as far as an upgrade..this will be my first time I used my Lowe's first membership.

Thanks

There really are no upgrades with larger rooms at the RPR. If your rate qualifies (rack or AAA), the usual upgrades are standard view to water view (same size rooms), or water view to a King Suite, which they will only unfortunately let 3 people stay in, so this is not an option for a family of 4-5.

DH and I love the RPR, and I have to admit that we sometimes do feel crowded in there, even though it's our favorite resort. However, we do not book rooms "just to sleep in." We spend a fair amount of time in the room, and enjoy sleeping in on vacation. So, if you are booking the room "just to sleep in," you will be fine.

Of course, I am also told that I don't like to share and don't play well with others. ;)
