Good Morning Everybody,

I'm trying to find a Hotel for my Mom that has it's own shuttle to Disneyland. While she can walk all through Disneyland, sometimes walking those extra blocks to and from to the hotel are just toooooOOooo much.

If You could post the ones that You know here, I would be most appreciative.

I know that Holiday Inn has a pay shuttle service.

I think I saw a Candy Cane Inn shuttle???
I might have been mistaken.. I'm trying to recall shuttles I saw while waiting to be taken back to the hotel.:confused3

Also.. this may sound a little odd.. but we have friends who are staying at Hojos the same time we are going..so if there is a hotel that has a shuttle service near hojos that you can recommend that would be supergreat.:cheer2:

Well, Hojo does offer ART shuttle service for those who don't want to walk. This isn't a private shuttle, but since Hojo is so close it may be a quick trip (I have no idea on this, I have not tried the shuttle) The ones I know with their own private shuttles are the Candy Cane Inn and Sheraton Anaheim.

I'm going to give them a call..thanks for your reply,Samkj!:goodvibes
I hope that today is good to and for you.

Most hotels have shuttle service but it's ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) and you have to pay for it. CCI has a FREE shuttle and the Crowne Plaza and Hyatt (I think it's the Hyatt) share one that is free as well. I think that is all for freebies though, the rest you have to pay for ART. And yes, the HoJo does have an ART stop.

I called HOJOs and they said ART stops there. For $4 you can buy a pass that takes you to and from disneyland to and from the hotel all day til the park closes.

thanks for the help.

have a great day! :goodvibes

HI Dawn,
I actually researched this a bit for my family trip in Feb. It appears that HOJO is the last pick up place on the route. So getting to the park will be fast, but alternatively the ride to the hotel from the park is a bit longer, I had someone tell me 20-30 minutes. Alternatively, I have heard many folks indicate that they have grabbed a cab to HOJO's for about $8.00, which might be worth it at the end of a long night. Especially if 4 people can split the fee. I also heard the shuttle goes past and stops at the garden walk restaurant area, so you could get off, eat, and get back on. Sort of cool, really.

Yes, HoJo's is the last stop on the way home and yes it is about 20 minutes. not bad if you are sitting down, but if you have to stand it's not fun. Also, yes last pick up to the park, so you are there quick. $4. per day per person adds up after a few days......They changed the location of their drop off/pick up area in the big bus loop at DL. it used to be right near the front close to the gates, when we were there in July... they'd moved to the back :sad2:
Candy Cane Inn has their own private shuttle that is free. :cheer2:

You could try BWPPI, Park Vue and Desert Inn. They are right across the road from the shuttle area so might only add 100 yards or so to your walk. No need for a shuttle at these hotels. We have stayed at Tropicanna and Carousel and really loved the proximity they are no more than another 100 yards down the road. Hojos and CCI are over half a mile away, CCI does have its own dedicated shuttle.

I second this. The distance from these hotels to the shuttle drop off area is only across the street. I think it would be better to just stay at one of these hotels then have to deal with the shuttle and the people waiting in line for the shuttle.

I guess I should warn you I am very anti shuttle. Waiting in line for shuttles brings out the worst in people and you have people cutting in line. This really ruins the disney magic for me.

Thanks for all the great advice everyone!:goodvibes

Have a Wonderful Day!

Happy Holidays:santa:

I'm staying at CCI next week with my mom and two kids (5/2). I will report back on the shuttle. With the HoJo and Best Western booked by the time we planned the trip, the CCI shuttle was the deciding factor in staying there.

:thumbsup2

If you want to walk then yes, the Tropicana is a good place to stay. But it's a motel not a hotel, outside corridors instead of inside and it's not as nice. The HoJo is much better and much cheaper. Walking to the security gates from the Trop takes us about 5 min. tops, walking to the same place from the HoJo takes us about 7 so for us that isn't a factor. If we stay on Harbor we stay close enough to walk, we use the shuttles if we are staying farther away. I won't walk any farther than the HoJo or the CCI, those are as far afield as I want to trek. :)

The Sheraton Anaheim has it's own dedicated (free) shuttle, and I find it to always be on time, and it's quite convenient. I use it without hesitation when I am staying at that resort.

I stayed at the Crown Plaza last spring break. They share a shuttle with the Hyatt that is free. We did not mind using a shuttle at all. It came every half hour on the dot and when things got busy... the added an extra shuttle and droped off and picked up continously. There were a few times when things got grumpy... but overall, it was great. My only complaint was that the pick up spot was the furthest away from the entrance!

They are very prompt aren't they? And yes, they did bring out extra shuttles when we were there last too. :) That was GREAT! We are going to be there for part of our stay in Jan, I'm actually excited about using their shuttle again. lol

I've stayed in 3 hotels, 2 with ART transportation, and at Park Vue Inn (one of the "walk across the street and you're there" hotels). ART is very convenient, and worth the small expense (I think), but NOTHING beats the crosswalk hotels (as my DH calls them). I could be wrong, but I believe they are closer to the entrance than the official DL hotels. We would stay there again if we had to.
