I'm staying in Orlando for a weekend with my neice and I'm looking for a hotel that both of us can enjoy! My first choice was the Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort (and grand it is!) but the price tag on that one is a little too steep....
I usually search out hotels myself but I thought maybe somebody on this site could point me in the right direction...
I know we both want a resort with: a huge pool,water-slides,pool side bar(not necessary, but would be nice!)
Restaurants in walking distance.(we won't have a car)
Maybe somewhere around $160 a night??
Can anyone give me any suggestions?? It doesn't have to be near Disney/Universal but anywhere in the Orlando area would be fine.
Thanks for your help,
Debbie & Sarah

why not stay at WDW?

from mousesavers.com

CSR (moderate -) - has a wonderful slide.

all moderate have a restuarant on site.
values only have a food court.

if you really don't want to stay at WDW - then

www.hotelkingdom.com

does have on occasionally the Hyatt that you mentioned - but it is still a very expensive hotel.

you can also try the loew's hotels over at Un/ioa

The Loew's hotels at Universal are a good suggestion. The have everything you're looking for. For the water slide, try HRH or PBH. All the Resorts have more than one restaurant, then there's Citywalk you can easily walk to from HRH & RPR, and a boat ride away from PBH. No need at all for transportation at Universal. Visit the Universal board on this site for help in finding discounts. Enjoy your niece. :)
