The card arrived in the mail today! I couldn't believe it! I don't know how I qualified. You are supposed to have 10 stays or 15 nights and our stays add up to 14 nights. Anywho, I want to get my free suite upgrade but I don't know when I can go again! Oh and I have also always booked an APH or Entertainment rate so technically I guess we weren't supposed to qualify because of that either. I am not complaining though!

Welcome to the Platinum club! I always book with big discounts like APH and FLO and I qualified for Platinum early last year. I have gotten a few complimentary view upgrades and paid $35 several times to upgrade to a suite. If you pay rack or AAA the suite upgrades are free if available but if you use a discount they usually charge $35/night. The guaranteed 2pm checkout for Gold and Platinum is really nice too!

Somehow, I received a Platinum card in the mail last year. We just returned yesterday from RPR using the Fan Club card discount. When I checked in, they noted my Platinum card, but no upgrade available because I booked with Fan Club discount. I really didn't get anything "special" because of my status. We were traveling with another family who are not members of Loews Club at all. At first, we received daily paper and they did not, then all of a sudden, they started getting paper. I asked for late checkout and was told we could check out at 2:00 "because of my Loews club status". My friend called about late check out and was literally asked "what time do you want to check out". She was able to choose her time, not left to feel that they were doing her a favor because of her Loews status. Don't get me wrong, I am glad it worked out for them, they had a great visit, but as a returning customer, I really expected to have a few "extra" perks, and I didn't.
 
I expect these "perks" as well when I stay at Loews Hotels as I am a very frequent guest. RPR usually takes care of me regardless of the rate I am paying. Sorry to hear about your experience.

We are platinum as well. I am not counting on anything. I was hoping for the welcome gift but since we booked Fan Club rate at the HRH, chances are we won't see anything.
 
The last 2 times I stayed at RPR I called down and asked for a late check out and the first time was 1 and the second time they said noon. I couldn't remember the Loews 1st policy so I didn't push it. I looked on the web site to find that I should be getting a guaranteed 3 hour late check out or 2 pm. So when I stayed at PBH a couple of weeks ago I called to confirm my 2 o'clock check out and they said "Yes Sir."
2 o'clock means going to the park before we check out which is great.
