I'M JUST SHOWBOATIN' AROUND THE WORLD! & getting pooped on. Jan 13 TR! NEW TR POSTED!

So sad to hear about Bruce's illness. I'm probably jinxing myself, but thankfully I've never gotten sick in Disney. Having said that, guaranteed now I will. :crazy2:

Buying nothing at World of Disney... you are stronger than I! :goodvibes

But I do now believe that, much like Cinderella castle, it is impossible to pass the lego displays and not take a picture. :p

That bread pudding looks to die for! My only question is does it have raisins? I've only grown up eating bread pudding without raisins lol cause neither my mom or I like them.

I'm so torn....I have a tentative trip planned for Aug. 2014 but we are only doing the quick service dining plan with very limited oop ADR's. I don't know if Raglan Road should be one of them :confused3. Decisions! Not my strong suit lol.

Very nice pin haul. :thumbsup2

OH MY GOSH! Poor Bruce! Do yall know what caused this? So sad! :(

I took a bus from Beach Club to DTD once (after eating at Beaches and Cream that time from my first TR) and the only stop we made was the Boardwalk. I guess it varies depending on the time of day maybe?

Those onion rings look so freaking good.

Um... wait a second. The first pic after you got back to BC... what on earth is that yellow looking part of the building?! Never before have I seen that. What is that?!?!

Yay for being reunited with your turtles!

Bruce needs to get better ASAP, this is making me sad.

I knew this is where y'all were headed! Gotta get that bread pudding.
That bread looks amazing. Tangent - I made dark chocolate Guinness cupcakes for St. Patty's day. With Bailey's cream cheese frosting. YEAH.
Your fullness level descriptions are pretty much me all the time. I've been doing better about stopping at the second one, but sometimes you just have to go all the way. When you're in Disney and the third happens, you just gotta walk it off...or go back to the hotel and curl up in the fetal position. :rotfl:

Boo for crowds and 85 stops and Bruce still being sickly. Yay for Animal Kingdom and potential YETI TIME :cheer2:

I've heard nothing but good things about the bread pudding! It's on my "to eat" list, that's for sure! Disney food, yum.

I really don't like the bus system at Disney, except at like, AKL, Pop and AoA, they're the resorts that the busses only go to that resort, and don't have a million "mini inside resort stops" like CBR or CSR. I don't get why the deluxes dont have their own busses. :confused3

It's pretty amazing and I think everyone should try it! My favorite Disney dessert, hands down.

It's funny, this was the first trip where I had an issue with the buses... and I guess even then, it was just to/from DTD with all of the stops we had to make on this trip. Otherwise we were pretty happy with it. But yeah, I have no idea why the deluxes don't get their own bus... or least for DTD, make it so we share a bus with just the Yacht Club.

I need to remember in the future to give OKW, then boat from there to DTD a shot when it comes to getting to DTD. I love visiting OKW anyway. :thumbsup2

ohhhhh that does look yummy,I can't wait to get there n eat all the yummy Disney food :D for now i'm being good and eating healthy but i'm fully letting loose as soon as I spot my first palm tree!!

It IS extremely delicious! I hear you on the healthy eating; I have been doing the same... but when I land in Orlando, all bets are off! ;)

Just had to stop in and say I love your TR's.

My daughter collected that same pin set with the big squares when we were there. So nice being able to find a full set!

And I swear up and down that Disney needs to do a full blown lysol bomb on all the parks. There is some one day bug that people get! I've read about it in like 4 TRs recently! Get to lysol-ing Disney!!!!

Aww thank you for the wonderful compliment and for stopping in and saying hi!! :)

That's awesome that your daughter did the same thing! I totally agree, it was really nice to be able to find a full set to try and hunt down!

UGH I know! I have heard of SO many people getting some terrible stomach bug/flu while in Disney. I am always geared up with a ton of hand sanitizer whenever possible!

Ugh yeah, it was such a bummer. I just felt really bad for him because there wasn't anything we could do to help him... :(

Haha, ooooh trust me, we went back and bought a bunch of stuff.. It was just so busy in there we had to escape!

It's so true. I probably have the same Lego photos like.. 4 times, but who cares. They're too awesome to pass up! :rotfl:

OMG, it IS to die for! Real bread pudding, amazingly good. It DOES have raisins in it but there are not a ton. I'm not a raisin fan but I eat them in that dessert. You could probably just pick them out though or even see if they'd make it without!

We are not doing the DDP on our September trip because we wanted to try having less ADRs and a more flexible schedule. That being said, we made sure to get an ADR for Raglan Road. It's a must-do every trip for us because of how much we love it! I think you should give it a shot if you're looking to squeeze an ADR in there. :thumbsup2

Thanks! We were racking up some fantastic pins this trip! Helped to have Matt along for trading, haha.

UGH I know, it was awful. We don't know what caused it, he just got knocked out by some sort of stomach bug. I also think the amount of walking we did might have really exhausted him, plus the warmer weather and maybe not drinking enough fluids?

Yeah, see, that's what I remember from our previous trip!! We only made one stop! So I have no idea why they did it this time, but I had heard during busier times that's when they'd do it. Kind of lame. I really would think by now they'd consider getting another bus for the Epcot resort area.

OMG they're AMAZING. I love them and can't not get them when we go there!

Haha, that is over in the Villas area, there is a building by the quiet pool that has bathrooms in it! Whenever we came back from the bus, we would cut over towards the parking lot because it was WAY faster to get back to the Villas that way than it was to go through the main building.

Yay for being reunited with your turtles!

I WAS SO HAPPY! I missed those little guys!

Ugh I know, it was very sad... and unfortunately, this isn't the end of the sickness. :(

Haha you know how we do! :cool2: OMG THOSE CUPCAKES SOUND AMAZING! Our favorite cupcake place here made similar ones and they sounded to die for!

Hahaha I'm glad you understand my fullness levels. But it's so true, when in Disney, you just gotta walk it off! And try not to explode, hahaha.

BOO FOR ALL OF THOSE THINGS! But yay for AK at night! This was so so much fun, I can't wait to get to the next update!

Darn it all to heck! I keep thinking I've got my restaurants straight, and then you throw in another idea!

My mouth+ lobster=HAPPINESS.

WPE is my DTD go-to restaurant, and now I'm torn!

Thanks, Dani. Just...thanks. ;)

Haha, what an experience to meet your husband's twin! I got a kick out of reading about that.

Yum, that sandwich and those onion rings look really delicious. It makes me want to go back and try Raglan Road for lunch instead of the dinner I didn't like very much. Those onion rings look almost HEALTHY. Haha.

Raglan Road looks super delish! I've never had bread pudding. I'm tempted to find a recipe and try to make some myself.

I hate it that your friend is sick. That is my ultimate nightmare-- to be sick at Disney! I hope he starts to feel better soon!

I'm going to Raglan Road in Dec!!! DBf and I are both of Irish descent, so I figured this would make a great dinner night out.

Can you believe they actually want to EXPAND World of Disney???? As if it isn't daunting enough as it is. I have no idea how we shopped there w/o cell phones. Because now we wander our separate directions than text each other when we're done and pick a meeting place.

I love turtles! If you're ever in my neck of the woods, I'll have to take you to a nature park we have here...one day, my dad literally counted over 40 turtles. All just chilling.

Oh man, I got behind!! I'm so sorry Bruce was sick. That has to be the worst, being sick at WDW. I'm glad Amy went back with him and he got some rest. Hoping it was a fast thing that he got over quickly!

You totally scored on the pins! Every time I see you posting vinyls, my brain starts going THERE...you know...THERE...where I have a whole wall full of them if I start buying them? Trying to resist still.

Raglan Road!!!!! I am seriously refusing to go on our next trip unless I have an ADR there. I have had my eye on it for the last THREE trips and haven't pulled the trigger?!?! It's a must-do. I am telling Rey...No Crystal Palace for you if we can't do Raglan Road for me. That bread pudding looks insane!

WOOT on September! Hot but totally worth it! Our first trip was in September and I loved the low crowds (although you know as well as I do that even low times are busier now...January and February used to be low crowds too)

YAY for DVC!!!!!!! Excited for you!!!! :goodvibes

and jealous!... ;)

Too bad Bruce still wasn't feeling better!!

I agree, the bus service at the BC is a bit annoying. It's pretty much the same way over at the Contemporary/Poly/GF, they all loop around those too. :confused3

Hahahaha that bread pudding is ABSOLUTELY worth being way too over-full for!! It's SO good!! :goodvibes

Oh, poor Bruce, still not feeling well! :crazy2:

Ok, it seems like every TR I'm reading right now has Raglan Road updates, and everyone raves about that bread pudding! I'm obsessed with the bread pudding at 'Ohana, so I'm going to need to make a Raglan ADR for my next trip, I have to see what's so great about it! :rotfl:

The buses from the Epcot resorts sound insane! They are all deluxes, they should seriously get their own buses! At least, the Swan and Dolphin should have their own! It almost seems like you'd be better off taking a bus from Epcot to SSR or Port Orleans and then going to DTD from there! :confused3 Although, we rent a car and we drive to DTD, and even driving is a pain in the you know what...all those traffic lights make me SO insane! :rotfl:

Aww, we saw so many turtles when we were at the Beach Club too, so cute! We also saw an alligator, and the turtles were swimming right by him, and I was so terrified that the alligator would eat the turtles, but Brandon assured me that wouldn't happen...I'm still not convinced! :rotfl:

Ok, so yes I did just make and ADR for Raglan Road for our last day. We're meeting up with a friend of my parent's in DTD, so we'll already be there... It's perfect! Although I don't like ending a trip with DTD, so hopefully our flight will be late enough that we can get in one more park before we go!

I keep on going back n forth of whether I should keep my dinner at Raglan Road or just do lunch instead. When you went for lunch was it totally dead in there?

Ugh I know, I just felt so bad for him. I would be crying in my bed all day if I were stuck in bed in Disney. :(

Yeah, I just don't get it! It's really odd to me why they do that. But I swear on our last trip we didn't have to share a bus with 5 on our way to DTD. It MUST have been from the crowds we were seeing or something. Blergh.

I AM GLAD YOU GET IT! Isn't it the best?! Ugh, I love it so much. :cloud9:

Yeah, it was such a bummer, especially for our next part of our trip...

OMG, I swear, you have to try it at Raglan Road. I'm sure the bread pudding is good at Ohana, but this is REALY Irish bread pudding and it is to DIE for.

Yeah, I really don't get it! It's only to DTD where you really run into this issue. We don't rent a car just because we usually love the buses (it's all part of that lovely Disney experience for us!) but the DTD one is brutal. I'd rather just make my way from a park to OKW and then enjoy a boat ride to DTD. Thinking we might go that route next time.

I loved the little turtles... but I would be terrified of them getting eaten by an alligator, too! I'm glad they didn't, because turltes are my favorite!

Ok, so yes I did just make and ADR for Raglan Road for our last day. We're meeting up with a friend of my parent's in DTD, so we'll already be there... It's perfect! YAY! I'm glad you did it, because it's so good and it will make your last day in Disney less difficult because you'll be eating delicious food. YUP! Haha, I hope you guys can get in a park before you leave though!!

I keep on going back n forth of whether I should keep my dinner at Raglan Road or just do lunch instead. When you went for lunch was it totally dead in there?

Okay, we've done both lunch and dinner there, and if you want to go when it's pretty dead, definitely go for lunch! Every time we've had lunch there it's been totally dead! Dinner has a more upbeat fun vibe, but lunch is great for a quiet environment. I also think the Lobster Club and some other choices are only on the lunch menu, too!

Chapter Seventeen: Animal Kingdom.... at NIGHT!
Day 3: January 19th, 2013

I'm not going to lie, we felt REALLY sad about going to Animal Kingdom without Bruce, especially since he'd never been there before... but we had plans, so we soldiered on, the 3 of us!

We arrived to AK at around 5pm, and I was actually surprised that the park was still VERY busy. I mean, I know it was open until 8pm that night, but I guess I'd hoped that people had left after the parade.. Yeah, not so much.

file_zps0dfc4a9e.jpg

As we walked in, on our left, we noticed a ton of white blobs in the trees, and a lot of people looking. Turns out those crazy Floridian birds that try to attack you for your food in the parks like to hang out in AK in these trees. It was one of the most fascinating things I've EVER seen, seriously. I couldn't believe how many of them there were!

file_zps87941345.jpg

Anyway, we started to head for Asia, and stopped to watch this guy mess around.

Of course, I was then fascinated by the little duckling that was hanging out in the water below.. He was just so cute! Little Disney duckling, learning the ropes and being born into the Disney life.

file_zps77e221a9.jpg

When I spotted Expedition Everest, I was so happy! I lovelovelove Asia so much, the theming is just unreal in that area of the park, and with EE being my favorite, I was SO excited!! Of course, this meant stopping for some photos first.

file_zpsb518bbc9.jpg

I had Amy take a photo of Matt and I, but unfortunately it came out blurry... but we'll just pretend we look perfect here.

file_zpsc5500c66.jpg

I was getting excited because dusk was approaching and seeing the lights lit up was getting me SO excited to be in Animal Kingdom at night!

file_zps32fed2fb.jpg

file_zps9d7e47d2.jpg

As we got to the standby line, the sign said it was a 50 minute wait. UGH. Poop. I did NOT anticipate this kind of wait, and unfortunately, all Fast Passes were gone for the night. We all decided that we'd just go for it anyway, and maybe the line wouldn't actually be that long, because the queue didn't look that bad... Oh, the things you'll do to go on Expedition Everest!

With all of this time waiting in line, that meant time for photos!

file_zps07b95620.jpg

Thankfully, we were spared of anyone deciding to bang on the bells... Or maybe we weren't, I don't know. I love the bells for their look, but not for when everyone and their mom thinks they need to hit it as loudly as possible.

(Sorry for having to break up this part into 2 posts; I had too many photos to fit in one post!)

Chapter Seventeen: Animal Kingdom.... at NIGHT! CONTINUED
Day 3: January 19th, 2013

I love the details so much in this queue... so I tried to look at this long wait as a chance to really LOOK at everything.

file_zpsdecbe4b6.jpg

I was very excited to be there, even though our line was not moving at all..

file_zpsd498efa8.jpg

Yeah, I wasn't thrilled about how long it was taking to move even a few feet.

file_zps00229f30.jpg

Thankfully Amy wasn't miserable while we waited, so that was definitely a good thing!

file_zps683f0d2a.jpg

I don't think Matt was very happy with the wait though...

file_zps6fc7eae2.jpg

While we waited in line, there was a couple in front of us and the girl was FREAKING out about going on. Like, she really didn't want to go on at all, but her boyfriend kept saying she'd be fine. They were actually pretty hysterical and I told her it'd be okay, especially since she'd gone on Rock 'n Rollercoaster...

While we chatted with them, I took more photos once we FINALLY made it inside after somewhere around 25 minutes of waiting in the queue outside. It was pretty clear that only FPs were really getting through the line, so standby was way far back. I just couldn't believe the amount of people still at AK at night!

Anyway, I've always thought these socks hanging from above were so neat..

file_zpsc8f2b4c7.jpg

I'm fascinated by all of the artifacts you find inside of the museum, too.

file_zpsbc8471cf.jpg

Fairly certain the girl in front of us got psyched out a bit by some of the aftermath from the yeti, haha. Her boyfriend was SO excited to go on it though.

file_zps6549907b.jpg

file_zpscce5a232.jpg

After 45 minutes... yep, it was a full 45 minute wait, we FINALLY got to the front of the line, and were told that we'd be in rows 2 and 3... meaning the girl and her boyfriend were in Row 1, since there was no one waiting around to ride in the front. The girl started freaking out, telling her boyfriend she didn't want to ride in the front, and we offered to ride in the front row, but her boyfriend insisted they go in the front... Hahaha, I felt bad for the girl, but they went in the front, Amy and I in Row 2, then Matt rode alone in Row 3.

The one good thing about waiting as long as we did is that it had actually gotten a lot darker outside... I really wanted to enjoy the ride though, so I took this one photo...

file_zps802e3b6b.jpg

We had the BEST time, and Amy had an absolute blast on it. She said it was definitely her favorite ride that she'd been on in Disney World!

The girlfriend on the other hand, HATED it. It was actually pretty hilarious because her boyfriend thought it was the coolest ride he'd ever been on, and she was yelling at him for making her go on in the front. I'm pretty sure she even smacked him in the arm as we were rolling up to the exit area. :rotfl:

After we got off, we decided to head straight back on to see if the line had died since it was a lot later... but they were still sitting at a 45 minute wait. We stood there and debated if we wanted to go on again and wait another 45 minutes, when something unbelievable happened... Buuuut you're going to have to wait to find out.

DUN DUN DUUUUNNNN!

Ooh, a cliffhanger! I love a good cliffhanger! I'm gonna guess that someone gifted you with fastpasses?

What a bummer that the line was so long! But good that it was such a fun ride!! And such a giant bummer that Bruce was still sick!

Okay, obviously I LOVELOVELOVE your photos!
But here's the thing...I don't think I've seen any of that before! REALLY! I haven't looked up, down, or all around in the EE queue at all, as I'm usually just flying through the line. I have totally been missing out! Even when Brandon took a minute to snap a few photos, he only had time for a couple. We need a 45 minute wait!:lmao:

Way to leave me with a cliffhanger!
