We knew we wanted to go somewhere for Christmas Day, but we were open to anywhere Southwest goes. I looked at the cost for pretty much every city and found MCO was pretty low for our getaway dates. I was still kinda uncertain about it with the high room rates and the major crowds, but then I got to poking around on here.
NOW I'M SO EXCITED!!!
We're flying in early Christmas Eve - so the entire day will be spent exploring Fort Wilderness. I hear there may be a golf cart parade that day! Chip and Dale! Fishing! Swimming! Oh my!
Christmas Day at the Magic Kingdom - I know it will be beyond packed. We'll arrive early and really just want to see the parade, castle lighting and fireworks. We are going in knowing that rides will not be doable and hopefully we'll get to meet a few characters during the day. The expectations will be all about enjoying Christmas at Disney!
The next day will be a field trip around on the monorail - I must see that gingerbread house and some more fun at the campground. Then we'll take ME to the airport about 3:30 to head back to reality.
We have tickets for three of us so we'll only need to buy one park ticket. The airfare was on points and the campsite was a bit over $200 for the two nights. I think we're going to pull this off for under $500 even after food and snacks!
Did I mention that I'm SO EXCITED?!?!?!
