I'm in love with Grand Floridian Villas!! Video Room Tour!!

The room looks beautiful but it makes me nervous.... there will be 3 adults and 2 children in our standard studio at VGF.... 1 will be in a playpen, which i have no idea where I will put that.... my mother and niece will sleep on the pull out sofa but also do not know where i will put our 4 suitcases..... im in trouble!
We stay in a one bedroom. It really feels like home.

The GM at the Polynesian has been there for some time, he is not new. At one time he had both Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. After the expansion at the Polynesian they moved the GM from AKL to GF. The GM at the Contemporary moved to AKL

Wow that SOLD me, thank you so much!! I did get a one BR tour about a year ago, and loved it. But we would be getting a studio so this was perfect. We are BCV owners, and just today, mentioned to my DH about maybe trying GF for a few days next vacation before going over to BC. You did an awesome job, loved it!!

There is supposed to be under bed storage for suitcases. (I've only stayed in one or two bedroom villas which have large closets.)

This is my favorite resort. There are so many things to like about it.

VGF is a standout resort compared to the other DVC's IMO.

Absolutely.

It is beyond peaceful. And yet everything is right there, including easily visiting and dining at the Polynesian.

The studio, besides the storage issue, is so exquisite that I would never ever hesitate to pay the higher point value. In fact, I would choose it without a blink of an eye over many DVC one bedrooms. Very well done.

I need to go buy a lottery ticket today and dream a little dream.:goodvibes

We didn't have any issues with the storage. But we are a family of 3.

The service you receive at GFV is way over what you get at other resorts. When we checked in they took the luggage to our rooms, the bellman asked if we had eaten, we checked in late, when we said no he told us to take our time and he would be waiting downstairs and he would drive us to Poly or GF in the golf cart to get . We tried to change our whole trip, we were only there one night, to GF and the concierge tried for an hour to finagle the rooms to find a way to give us a room. The only room was HC and they are not allowed to use the last one for non-HC person. I was just so impressed with the whole experience. We need a 2bdr for our trips and by the time we get to 7 months it is never available, but I can always dream.

We loved our stay too. My only complaint was the pools & hot tub is not supervised. Some of the other guests behaviors made us not want to visit the hot tub. (Jump in the hot tub, swimming in the hot tub, drink alcohol while in the hot tub) We would just stop by put out feet in and leave.

I stayed when it first opened, in a Studio. One weird thing I found was there was not a hook to hang clothes when using the stall shower. Have they added a clothes hook there?

Just stayed 3 nights in a 1br (stayed in a studio before) - we have a new favorite 1br (replacing VGC). Luxury like we haven't felt anywhere disney before, including cash rooms at GF and GC.

Now I want more points (again).

I love this thread and it is making me so excited for January!! This is prob a foolish question, but do they provide robes?

There was a hook just outside the shower door in the one bedroom when we stayed in September.

Today is the day we leave for our first VGF home resort stay!! Bouncing off the walls like a 5 year old!!! :yay:
