OMG!!!! My mom just called me up out of the blue and informs me that she is taking my SIL and I out for a nice dinner and to see TLK in Boston in a few weeks. (I don't know the exact date yet!)

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I did not think I'd be able to see it because of the cost but apparently my dad told my mom he's get the tickets and thought it would be a nice idea if she took us out to see it sans the guys (him, my brother and my BF) since none of them really like shows.

So there will be a girls night out in Boston soon on my horizon!

Mom, if you're "lurking" here (and Dad too!) you guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(okay, I'll calm down now!)

That's great! You'll love it but bring plenty of tissue. :wave2:

My DW and I saw it in London in March it was wonderful!

I am so happy for you! We saw it in NYC around the time it opened and saw it again when the tour stopped in Cincinnati. And yes--I would see it again. You will be amazed.

That is great, E, you'll love it. I saw it on Broadway and our family here in Chicago, both were absolutely stunning. Enjoy!!!

Have fun!!! Girl's nights out are the best:bounce: :bounce:

Cool! I haven't seen TLK, but have a great time.

I'm so excited. Listening to my TLK soundtrack. :) :)

I have no idea how I am going to sleep tonight!!!

I would love to see this show but I DREAD going to NYC. Yuck!

That's awsome EsmeraldaX :)

I work down the street from the Opera House and pass bye it every day during lunch. I'm so jealous cause the place looks so intriguing....from the signage outside to the reviews in the herald/globe/metro, it's so hard for me to resist purchasing tickets.

Then again, with my Disney trip fastly (but not fast enough) approaching in 2 weeks, I think I can hold off my urge just a bit longer.

Congrats! (let me know how it turns out :):hyper:

It's a great show you'll love it. Isn't it nice to be spoiled by our parents sometimes, no matter how old you are. Enjoy
Tara

Thats great! A couple of weeks back, we had a big thread going for all the Boston Disers going...I'll be there Sept. 18th with DH, so be sure to post when you'll be going!!

I understand your excitement!!!!:Pinkbounc

:) Thanks. Can you reccommend a good place to get a meal before the show in that area? I'm not even 100% sure where it is (and I work in Boston every day!)

We are also going to see it when it comes to Seattle on Dec. 4th! We are so excited. We are also going to do the dinner before, downtown, then see it. It is our Christmas present to each other!

Lisa

I just saw it last night... it was amazing! Have a great time.

Well, the Opera House is on Washington Street. Do you know where Tufts-New England Medical Center is? If you start at NEMC, go towards Downtown Boston, you'll run into it on your left. Hmm...It's also near the Swiss Hotel (and the post office in Downtown Boston). I'm sure, though, that if you took a brief walk around, you'll find it without any problems. There's a parking lot right across the street (well, more adjacent to it), if you need parking. The Opera house is T-Accessible (Take the downtown crossing station from the Red or Orange lines). You can also take the Green line to Park street. Whatever floats your boat :)

Places to eat....well, there's always Legal Seafoods. That's in the theatre district just nearby. Also, P.F. Changs is a good place for an upscale Chinese restaurant. The Rock Bottom is also close (Bennigans too). All those restaurants are in the same local area (near the commons). Cheers, the restaurant, is within walking distance (if you walk through the commons). If you haven't been there, though, don't expect it to look like the bar on the show...only the outside of the restaurant was used for the show. The inside is rather cramped.

I'm drawing a blank cause I only go into Boston during lunch, where I go to this dingy place with questionable sanitary conditions...but the price is dirt cheap and the food isn't too bad :) - I haven't gotten sick...yet

Thanks! I think maybe I'll take a walk down there during lunch this week and see what's around. I've eaten at Bennigans before and recall it being really good. :) Now I have a better idea of where it is!

I can't wait!!!
