I'm Going To Miss My Babies!

I am flying to Little Rock later this morning later this morning to attend my sister's law school graduation and DH and the kids are not coming. DH and the kids are going to my MIL's house this evening after he gets off work.

I never wanted to go this weekend anyway (long story) so it makes it harder to leave. The only time I have been away overnight was when DH and I went away for 2 night when I was pregnant with DD and DS stayed with my parents. I have never been away from DD overnight.

I know I should look forward to some alone time and taking a flight without all the toddler/baby stuff but I will still miss the kids. Plus I will get some time without having to be 'on duty'. However, being a full-time working Mom I don't always feel like I get to spend enough time with them as it is.

DS is not thrilled about me going away without him and while I know that he and DD will be fine I know that they will miss me and I sure am going to miss them.

It'll be okay. I'm leaving my "babies" tonight (16 and 9) and while I will miss them, it's good to get away!

My 'baby' is spending the weekend with grandma because the cousins will be there.

I'm doing the happy dance.

I love DD to pieces but it's nice to get a break everyonce in a while.
