hey guys, so i'm going to england monday night for a week-ish to stay with some friends in bristol! im verrrry excited! i've never been to england before. we're going to take day trip to bath & london but mostly we'll just be chillin in bristol! anyways, anyone have any recommendations of things that i should try and do! any good (preferably CHEAP) shops to look out for!? any food/restaurants to try?

I would tell you to go find Charlie in Bath, but he's gone to LA for Vidcon.
Boo.

I've never been, but keep a look out for Galaxy chocolate. It's delicious. (Apparently it's sold here as Dove, but I don't think it taste the same).

Ooh, Bristol is fabulous!
There's loads of places to shop, but I love Cabot Circus, Broadmead and Cribbs Causeway.
One of the best places for "cheap" clothes shopping is Primark. The prices in there are crazy cheap. xD
I think the weather for this week is supposed to be okay, quite sunny but some rain as well.
I think Hilary is right, you have to try Galaxy. Best chocolate around.
Look out for chavs, too. They're fun to laugh at. :p
Have loads of fun, Caitlin! I know you will, haha. (:

I was going to say Primark as well. Very cheap clothing...

Well sadly, you just missed the elephant parade going on (almost 300 elephant sculptures all around London. They've all been auctioned off now). You can get into some museums or art galleries for free in London, like the National Gallery or the Science Museum.

Another chocolate you have to try is Cadburys Double Decker. It's incredible. Also, you're gonna have to have fish & chips at some point during the trip :p Other than food shopping (Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA, Morrisons, etc.) I can't think of shops that need to be seen. Maybe Marks & Spencers or something. Shops aren't my expertise... Same with restaurants because it's either fast food chains like McDonalds or stand-alone restaurants I haven't been in.

Also, have fun on your trip!

Have fun Caitlin! I want to go to England so bad. No advice just well wishes :goodvibes

I love Double Decker!
But then again, I love just about any kind of British chocolate. I like Cadbury Twirls a lot too.

While she can't see the elephants in person, I think Alex Day (nerimon) has a video on Youtube of him with them :)

I went up to London last Sunday to see the elephants. They were really cool.

I find that I like British candy better than American candy. There's something about how they make the chocolate that differs from ours and makes it taste different.

It's been said, but Primark! New Look's cool too but Primark is seriously the best. xD
Topshop is also good but it's a bit expensive tbh.
Also look out for my favourite shop, Utility. Idk if there's any in Bristol though.

Have Fun! xD
I live in England, Blackpool :)
I go to London for weekends away its great, visit the queen and go on the tour buses! :D

I want to go to England so badly! Have fun!
