Ok here is my story.

In May I am going with my college to Spain and France for a 12 night concert tour. Our trip ends in Paris and the second to last day we have a free day and we can do whatever we want. I am going to Disneyland! However, I have sooo many questions that I am hoping can be answered on this site.

I will only be going for one day. I am going to take the RER train (thats what the website told me to do) from Paris to Disney. Does anyone know how much that costs?? I know its about a 35 minute ride. Also, how far is the train station from Disney. Is it walking distance? Based on the website, it seems that the station is right outside Disney.

I am going to the DisneyLand Park. Since I only have one day, I think that this park will probably be the best thing for me to do. I really would like to see a lot of the attractions. Can some of you please recommend attractions that should not be missed and also attractions that can go without seeing?? Also, does anyone have access to a map of the park so I can see what it is like? I have seen the virtual map online, but I'm interested in seeing a map similar to the one I will get in the park. Also, is it possible to see the whole park in one day?? I know that when I am in Disney World, I can see a park in one day easily (I know my way around very easily). I do plan on being there from opening to closing.

Do the trains that take you from Paris to Disney and back run when the park closes?? Will I be able to get back to my hotel????

And approximately, how much is food at the the park? I plan on just doing quick counter service in order to see as much as possible.

Any help that anyone can offer is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you soo much!!!

Also is the end of May a busy time? Will it be really crowded there??

hi! great news about tour trip!

Well the train station is right out side the parks, The trains run to around midnight( In may the park closes at 8pm)
I can not remember how much they cost however I am sure some one will.

Have you looked at the stickies at the top of the board, there is tons of useful information. There is a food website link there with menus and prices etc of counter service restaurants

Well things that you should not miss,,erm I am sure everyone has different Ideas however I would say..Big thunder mountain, Phantom Manor as I hear that these are much different that the American Version. The Castle is beautiful and is worth a look around, There is also I dragon underneath the castle which is not to be missed and is something unique to DLP.
It is also nice to walk around and just look at your surroundings.

I think POC is closed?? :confused3 can any one confirm?

I don't know if you can do everything however you should be able to do a lot! Are you going on a weekday or weekend? That can make a big difference as the park is VERY busy at the weekend.

Also I think they is a school holiday in may for both British and French schools, can any one confirm this?

Hi Chris and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidlines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

Have a look here for scans of the park maps :)

Yes the train station is right beside the park.

The 29th May is a holiday in the UK but not AFAIK in France.

Hi Chris and welcome to the DLP board! :welcome:
Wow, you are going to have a fantastic tour topped off with a sprinkling of Disney magic at the end! pixiedust:

thank you all for the info!...I am definitely going to check around the other threads you guys have posted. I am sooo sad that POC will be closed. I was most looking foward to that. And to think I am going on May 30 and the ride is closing on may 29. O well, there will be lots of fun to be had anyway!!

Hello Chris

there are a few attractions unique to the Disneyland Park Paris.
  • The Dragon under the castle
  • Nautilus - a walk through submarine
  • Alice's curious Labyrinth (maze)
  • The voyages of Pinocchio
  • Critter coral (a pets corner/ small farm)
  • Indiana Jones rollercoaster
Whether they are unmissable is a matter of opinion;) I love the Dragon and I also think that the train around the park is worth a ride if it isn't busy because it is different to the Magic Kingdom Railroad at WDW.

IMHO Big Thunder Mountain is better than the version at WDW, as is Phantom Manor. Space Mountain is very different to the WDW version and I don't like it as it bashes my head around too much!

Have a great trip!
