Okay not sure where exactly to put this post....but I'm so upset! We just go back Saturday and already my only souvenir has broken :sad2: It barely, and I mean barely touched something and the globe shattered everywhere!!!! ANd I was absolutely in love with it! It was a Mickey holding a hat with a globe in it and inside the globe contained little minatures of DisneyWOrld icons. I cannot believe it broke so easy! I was even mystified if I had actually touched the globe to where it supposedly broke!
So my question full of hope is, is there absolutely anything I can do??? Can I email somone to replace it? Maybe I could just repair it......if I could just find a little globe I can superglue it on............ HELP :(

Go get your receipt.

Go to the phone & call 407-363-6200. (WDW merchandise mail order.)

Yes they are very good at taking care of things just like this.

In the future you might want to let them ship it home for you ( no tax if outside FL so it evens out on most purchases).

We did this with a large Tink figure and it arrived broken .With one call they were shipping another as soon as it came in.

I have in all my years and DD now 12 hard use of items never had any questions on a return from either home or still at either Disney.
 

And just a heads up to anyone traveling soon - the water in the snowglobes counts as liquid for the new travel carryon/checked luggage requirements. So, if you plan on spending $$$ on snowglobes, you might want to have them shipped so they don't get broken in checked luggage if you usually carry them on.

The same thing happened to me. I bought a beautiful gold celebtration photo album and within a week of being home the spine just ripped. (it was my first trip to disney, and at the time my only... but that has since changed hehe)

I called the number on my receipt and they airmailed me a new photo album. No charge.

So don't worry :thumbsup2
 
They are really good about things that are defective and breaking when you get home. I would say that would be defective, they shouldnt break that easily. I bought a few years ago a pair of mickey mouse icon earings and the first day I wore them they fell apart, the gems fell out and the post fell off one. They sent out new ones to us and we recieved them within a week.
 
just like evryone else is saying...breath...and call the number. I had bought a christmas ornament of stitch holding a guitar and i had gotten home and the little guitar peice was broken off. considering you can only buy lilo and stitch ornaments in disney i broke down. We called and they shipped me a new one at no cost...heres to the disney pixie dust :wizard:
 
Be brave ... call as others have suggested and please let us know if it all works out!
 
i got the exact same globe for my dd and hers has not broken but call disney get your receipt and tell them what happend and they should send you a replacement

LaDonna, I know Disney will make everything ok for you. They are great about that. I am so glad I now know about having a snowglobe shipped home instead of trying to pack in my luggage since they won't allow you to to bring it on the plane as a carry on due to the liquid. Great advice. :thumbsup2

Well so sorry being late about the update, I just got a chance to call beginning of this week.
I called and explained my situation and how I thought perhaps it was defective for breaking so easy, and wanted to know if I could get a replacement or refund. And well the girl acted like I was a little crazy. She talked as if they had never done anything like that before. I finally told her I knew a few people online that had told me they had also had some problems with some merchandise purchased at DisneyWorld and that they were able to get replacement. She then said well do you have your receipt, I said sure, (asked for my item#), and she said fax me a copy of it along with the reason you are requesting a refund/replacement, name and address and I'll see what I can do. So I did.....not sure if I'll get anything or not....I'll just wait and hope :rolleyes1
